"Red Sunset in the Hills" by Patti Deters. This is a beautiful scenic view of a vibrant red sunset photographed near Kaweah Lake in California. The hilly tree line is in full shadow at dusk with the setting sun low to the horizon, casting the trees into dark black silhouette. Shades of red and gold give color to the clouds in the sky and make for a fantastic landscape scene. Good weather must be in the forecast - "red sky at night, sailor's delight!" Bletchley Park was the central site for British (and subsequently, Allied) codebreakers during World War II. It housed the Government Code and Cypher School (GC&CS), which regularly penetrated the secret communications of the Axis Powers – most importantly the German Enigma and Lorenz ciphers. According to the official historian of British Intelligence, the "Ultra" intelligence produced at Bletchley shortened the war by two to four years, and without it the outcome of the war would have been uncertain.

A picture from the hamlet of Llandecwyn, overlooking the Dwyryd estuary. Llandecwyn Church is to the left of the image, the tidal island, Ynys Giftan, lies in the middle of the estuary and Portmeirion lies directly behind it. Moel y Gest stands centre stage with the village of Penrhyndeudraeth on the right hand side. Seven pictures were stitched together to create this panoramic image. In the native size, full-resolution version, Cricieth Castle can be seen clearly perched above the coastline between Portmeirion and Moel y Gest.

......I was out for a walk when I spotted this single yellow leaf in the middle of the road. I think it was just waiting for me! ;) The beautiful light made it glow and created a shadow that i really liked. A few seconds after I took this the wind came and blew it away.....
