These are ginger cookies made by my daughter. They were delicious. I like these cookies.... nom nom.
It's the other sort of cookie that I have a problem with. I was looking to buy a flash unit for my camera and searched various sites for makes and prices.
When I had finished doing this and went onto other unrelated sites I noticed that the embedded adverts in web pages kept offering flash units.
I thought this was a coincidence until it kept happening, and I realised that my internet browser was storing cookies of my searches which could be used by other web sites to offer me similar products.
I don't know about anyone else but I find that blatant flouting of my privacy a bit unsettling - particularly as the third party cookie setting is set to 'on' as a default on my browser, so I have to elect NOT to send my information to web sites.
I initially thought that this technology would improve my browsing experience, but I find it a bit spooky, and can't help thinking that it is more in the interests of the commercial web site, to help them sell more product, than actually improving my web experience.
Cookie sets I made as farewell/Thank You gifts for my daughter's daycare teachers. I was inspired by Callye (sweetsugar belle) and Gina (thepastryprincess) who's paisley sets are stunning!
I did a mix of regular sugar cookie and chocolate sugar cookies bith with vanilla RI.
A classic cookie that I sometime forget how nice it is! I used a soft cinnamon (ceylon) and crushed it with a Mort and pestle to give them a nice pop of cinnamon. I used this King Arhtur Flour recipe. It is supposed to make 3 doz but I increased the size and only yielded 1.5 doz so you might want to double the recipe if you need a lot of them.
Cookies made for my Secret CQ - Sweet Sugar Belle. She was supposed to get 3 Halloween characters but the third didn't make the cut!
Close up of the car cookies. I haven't done any cars before...they were a little harder than I thought, just to figure out what details to put in.
I did 42 Cookie Monsters over the weekend for shipment today to CA for a friend's little boy's bday this weekend. He's turning 2. :) The fur was the hardest part! oy! One of my fingers on my right hand that does the squeezing of icing was hurting pretty bad by the time I finished. Still red today. LOL I won't be doing that much fur or grass ever again! hehe...
Bananas, peanut butter, and cocoa combine to create a rich brownie-like cookie with bursts of creamy banana and chunky peanut. Check out those awesome chunks of banana! Did I mention these were vegan? www.vanesscipes.com/2007/08/21/vanana-cookies-vegan-banan...
Pretty similar set up to what most of you cookie bakers have, I think. Some people may look at all those boxes and think I have enough cutters to last a couple lifetimes, but of course I always have more on my "wish list!"
(The boxes are normally on a shelf in my garage, but I pulled them out recently to further organize them.)
Check in on my blog this week I'll be having two different cookie cutter giveaways! As if any of you need MORE cookie cutters! =)
This is a cookie, a custom shape that I made that I want my strobe to project onto a surface. I made this by laserprinting onto a transparency (acetate). As you can see by the image (see following comment) I should be able to make the shapes much smaller and it should still define.
So here is my second go at "the cookie splash"
just an awsome idea. Bold, Simple and beatiful!
creds to user "siebe" here on flicker for making
the original!
Cookie with her new dress of Dolly wardrobe. Thank you Marcos for this amazing dress, is so cute ^_^
Some cookies I made for a coworker who was heading out to see Jimmy Buffett last weekend.
The Margaritaville cookie and salt shaker are 100% Callye's (sweetsugarbelle). Thanks for saving my butt yet again ;)

2. In large bowl, mix sugars, peanut butter, butter, vanilla and egg. Stir in crushed cereal. Spread in ungreased 12-inch pizza pan.
3. Bake 12 minutes. Sprinkle evenly with marshmallows to within 1 inch of edge. Bake 5 minutes longer or until marshmallows are light golden brown. Most of you reading this could teach me a thing or two about making cookies, but over time I have had many questions about how I make sugar cookies. So here is the recipe I use and a few tips too.
