A convex spokeshave model no 51 from the Stanley Sweetheart era. This spoekshave has been well used and features almost no japanning, but still has the original SW cutter. Some pitting on the cutter, but still in good working order.

As you move the object, the image moves. Do not assume that the image is at the focal length- this is only true for images that are really far away from a lens (at infinity, photographers would call it.)
Making sure you understand the patterns on what happens to the image as you move the object is pretty important
An object really far away from a converging lens will produce an image at the focal point of the lens. Mr Dowd's 1956 Soviet Ukrainian Fed 2b camera with its fully manual workings makes it pretty easy to see the physics that's going on. The image on the upper right and the diagram below show the camera set to infinity. Close examination of the barrel of the lens shows that infinity for this lens (an Industar 26m) is anything beyond 20m. The image created is at the focal point of the lens, which is set to be where the film at the back is. A modern camera would have a CCD here.
When a lens is focused to a distance other than infinity, the image forms at a place other than the focal point. This is accomplished by moving the lens in or out, so that the film or CCD is at the appropriate image distance. You can see that the image on the left has the camera focused to 1m, and the barrel is extended, moving the lens away from the film. This Industar 26m lens allows clear images to be made at distances from 1m to infinity. Other lenses with different geometries could allow closer images to be made.

A continuación, se realiza su respectiva descripción: basidioma estipitado, lignicola, principalmente gregario, en ocasiones solitario o cespitado, no higrofano, píleo de 5 a 7 cm de diámetro, hemisférico en un principio, luego pasa a ser plano convexo con el centro umbonado, orbicular (vista apical). Margen recto, entero y ligeramente ondulado, de superficie glabra, viscida y brillosa, que luego pasa a ser seca y opaca, de color rojo que tiende a oscurecerse con el tiempo, con escamas blancas y fasciculadas en el margen, originadas por restos del velo universal. Himenio con lamelas y lamélulas, se encuentran próximas entre sí (apretadas), adnadas a ligeramente uncinadas, anchas, de borde liso, lamélulas atenuadas, de color café claro principio, después gris violáceo y finalmente púrpura negruzco, arista entera, blanquecina. Contexto homegeneo y hueco. Esporada de color marron oscuro.
Estípite de 4-8 cm de largo x 0.4-0.5 cm de ancho, cilíndrico, central, sub-bulboso y con tomento basal con cordones miceliares (rizomorfos), de color blanco con zonas de color naranja rojizo que se intensifica con el tiempo, de superficie pruinosa. Se engrosa ligeramente hacia la base. En algunos ejemplares se logra observar un anillo en banda (rudimentario) adherido al estípite, delgado y efimero. De consistencia fibrosa. Sin olor o sabor apreciable. Basidiosporas elipsoidales, lisas, de paredes gruesas, con poro germinal.
El trabajo de microscopia se realizó con un Microscopio Zeiss de Luz Halogena 6v 30w y reactivos rojo congo, melzer e hidróxido de potasio (KOH) 5%. Se observan basidios tetraspóricos, claviformes de 31 x 8 µm, basidiosporas elipsoidales no amiloides, de color marrón a rojo oscuro, superficie lisa, ligeramente apiculadas, con poro germinativo evidente (0,8 a 1 µm). Cistidios fusiformes, de 35,7 x 12,7 µm en general se observan hifas paralelas y presencia de fíbulas.

Tortue de Floride

Répartition
Cette sous-espèce se rencontre originellement dans l'est des États-Unis entre les Appalaches et les Rocheuses et dans le nord-est du Mexique. Elle a été introduite dans de nombreux pays.
Il s'agit d'une tortue aquatique vivant normalement dans les lacs, étangs et marécages
Description[modifier | modifier le code]
La Tortue de Floride a une longévité évaluée à environ 50 ans.
Lorsque la Trachemys scripta elegans est juvénile, sa nourriture se compose de 90 % de poisson et 10 % de végétaux.
Cette tortue n'est plus en vente libre en France car elle est considérée comme invasive. Il faut donc être titulaire du certificat de capacité et d'une autorisation d'ouverture d'établissement pour la posséder.
Dimorphisme sexuel
Reconnaître une tortue de Floride femelle en 3 points.
On peut différencier le mâle de la femelle par quelques caractéristiques :
1.La taille et la forme des griffes : en effet, les griffes du mâle sont courbées et longues tandis que les griffes de la femelle sont droites et plus courtes.
2.La forme du plastron : la forme du plastron du mâle est plutôt concave et convexe chez la femelle.
3.La taille de la queue : Le mâle a une queue plus grande que la femelle. L'ouverture cloacale de la queue est plus éloignée de sa base chez les mâles.
4.Généralement, les femelles sont plus grandes que les mâles.
Noter que, comme pour les autres espèces de tortue, il est très difficile de déterminer le sexe des jeunes.
La reproduction[modifier | modifier le code]
L'accouplement se passe peu de temps après que la tortue a fini d'hiberner. Il se traduit par une attitude assez agressive du mâle avant de vraiment passer à l'action. Lors de la parade, le mâle se met devant la femelle, tend ses bras parallèlement à sa tête, et, paumes à l'extérieur, fait vibrer ses longues griffes qui effleurent la tête de la désirée. Il peut mordre la femelle. Cette attitude est parfois observée, sans accouplement : il s'agit dans ce cas d'une pose d'intimidation (défense du territoire principalement). Il faut alors observer attentivement les animaux et les séparer pour de bon dans 2 bacs différents si les bagarres sont trop graves.
Si l'accouplement a bien été effectué, la femelle peut effectuer plusieurs pontes par an (2 en moyenne). Chacune des pontes comprend entre 5 et 20 œufs. La durée d'incubation varie entre 60 et 80 jours. Il est important de maintenir un bon taux d'hygrométrie ainsi qu'une température constante pendant toute la durée de l'incubation
