Spotted at an antique dealer's shop in Bulacan.

Got this little accessoire for next to nothing and it's so... useful! The convex surface of the shutter release button became concave and feels much handier.

Despite its size, I bet this combination is lighter than a Full Frame DSLR...

Me, shooting at the 2008 Microsoft DigiGirlz High Tech Camp in Irvine, California. I found these convex mirrors in the lobby. I guess I should have cleaned it first. :-(

This is my self-portrait in a convex mirror. Every time I walk pass the convex mirror of the Family Mart in my neighborhood, I would spontaneously look up into it. Sometimes I would do some funny face at it; sometimes I observe people who pass along the good shelf; sometimes I looked at the shop assistant and expect maybe he would look at me in eyes but he always doesn’t. The convex mirror in grocery store is always overlooked by people. However, to me, it is great fun to play with it. Less people concerning with it even brings me more privilege of looking into it, and the pleasure of “owning” this mirror. In the mirror, I see all the things are distorted in a circle. Ground and floor, good shelf and fridge, gums, sodas, alcohols, cigarettes, juices, fast foods, chocolates, are all trapped and stick together in a sphere. I hope to stay in this amusing cosmos created by the convex mirror, being united with my surroundings. Then, I related this idea to a larger aspect. I thought that it is better if people in Shanghai are all in a convex mirror. As a rapidly developing city of China, Shanghai is getting more and more stolid. Immigrant workers rush into the “Big Apple” of China, which causes the conflict between local people and immigrants. People are depressed and resentful. If Shanghai exists in a convex mirror, people might get more delighted and united as I am with my surroundings.

A convex mirror on a gravel road protecting a small railroad underpass in Pratts Wayne Forest Preserve in unincorporated Wayne, IL I believe this underpass will eventually be removed or filled in per a Daily Herald article stating the Model Airpland field and offleash dog area accessible by this tunnel are being relocated as part of a Canadian National Railroad project

Taken with a home made lens made from one of the plastic plano-convex elements from a battery powered slide viewer. The lens was selotaped onto a piece of plastic tube, which in turn was placed over a narrower tube which fitted snugly into an extension tube mounted on a digital SLR. An old sock completed the assembly, providing just the right amount of friction between the two tubes to allow the outer tube to be slid backward and forward to focus. The focal length is approximately 280mm, so with the inner tube having a diameter of 40mm, this gives an aperture of around f7.

Vaughan, Canada ~ September 5, 2013.

I dragged the convex mirror out again yesterday, despite that I've not gotten an adequate flash to illuminate moi. I spent a little time on eBay last night, however, to rectify that situation.
