The Porsche 968 is a sports car manufactured by German automobile manufacturer Porsche AG from 1991 until 1995. It was the final evolution of a series of water-cooled front-engine rear wheel drive models that began almost 20 years earlier with the introduction of the 924. It was intended to take over the entry-level position in the company lineup from the 944, which much of the vehicle was derived from. The 968 was Porsche's last new front-engined vehicle until the introduction of the Porsche Cayenne in 2003.
Like its predecessor, the 968 was offered in coupé and convertible bodystyles. The 968 was powered by an updated version of the 944's straight-four engine, now displacing 3.0 L with a 104 mm bore and an 88 mm stroke and rated at 240 PS (177 kW; 237 hp) at 6,200 rpm and 305 N⋅m (225 lb⋅ft) of torque at 4,100 rpm. Modifications to the engine include a higher 11.0:1 compression ratio, lighter crankshaft, crankcase and pistons along with revised intake valves and intake manifold.
Much of the 968's chassis was carried over from the 944 S2, which in itself shared many components with the 944 Turbo (internally numbered 951) due to lack of development funds at the time. Borrowed components include the Brembo-sourced four-piston brake calipers on all four wheels with ventilated brake rotors, ABS, aluminium semi-trailing arms and aluminum front A-arms, used in a Macpherson strut arrangement. The steel unibody structure was also very similar to that of the previous models. Porsche maintained that 80% of the car was new.

J-476
Duesenberg J-476 was one of five short wheelbase Torpedo Convertible Coupe bodies built by the Walter M. Murphy Body Company of Pasadena, California. Notable in the design is the Murphy hallmark disappearing convertible top and the bare aluminum top of the rear body. This Duesenberg was purchased new by Cliff Durant, sone of GM founder William Durant. He owned it for a few months before trading it to J. Paul Getty. Getty owned the Duesenberg until 1940. It then had subsequent owners including author John O’Hara. In 1953, Don Carr purchased the Duesenberg. He raced, restored, and exhibited the vehicle until he donated it to the museum in 1981 after having driven the Duesenberg more than 100,000 miles. It wa the first Duesenberg donated to the museum.

A Jaguar XK8, our 1960 Nash Metropolitan, and a Mercedes SL 500. We know which one we think is coolest --- how about you?
I don't think I've seen one of these before. I know they didn't make a ton of them either, so it's not a huge surprise.

Saw many of these on the road as we headed back to LA for the CruisinTheCoast.com.
This is my friend Tom Richardson's '39 Ford convert' custom. It's been chopped 1-1/2" and has '41 Stude' tailights. Also has DeSoto bumpers. It's one of the best late '40s style customs around. These shots were taken to do a painting eventually, I've just got to pick which one. That's the Walnut Ave. bridge in Roanoke, Va.
This gorgeous 1957 Buick convertible was photographed in the parking lot of Havana's airport on an evening in late February 2012.
In the absence of appropriate spare parts because of the embargo, this is a nicely maintained vehicle. The owner was at the airport terminal, hoping to get a passenger for his taxi business -- now possible since the Cuban government recently let people form small, self-employed enterprises.
