These "pants" are actually a re-purposed jumpsuit which didn't fit well. (I suspected it wouldn't, but I loved the color and fabric.)

Running at track speed through the locality of Korunye is Bowmans Rail Mineral Sands train 1501S from Port Flat to Broken Hill with GL103/EL63/CM3309 up front on Saturday the 10th of June 2017. Earlier in the day, the GL ran light engine from Port Adelaide to Islington workshops to collect EL63 for the run to Broken Hill, the EL was required due to additional tonnage for the return working.
The haulage of Tronox’s mineral sands loading has changed majorly since this photo, with the product now sourced from a purpose built siding in Ivanhoe and railed by Aurizon from Broken Hill to Kwinana once a week from January 2022, the longest distance any train carrying bulk commodities travels across Australia with an average length of 1700 metres and a weight between 9,000 and 11,000 tonnes. Aurizon also operate a once weekly service between from Broken Hill to Port Adelaide and return for customer convenience.
Following a long-term period with minimal traffic, Bowmans Rail’s operations would be purchased by QUBE Logistics in June 2024, with QUBE brining over their own locomotives and rollingstock to SA to operate Balco services between Bowmans and Pelican Point in addition to RASP Ore traffic between Port Pirie, Broken Hill and Port Adelaide, resulting in the CFCLA/Railfirst assets being dehired almost immediately.

This location used to be a circle K years ago, then it changed to a City Stop. Now it’s been closed since 2017 or so.

Apparently it came with a rather unpleasant job in the basement - dealing with disposal. Ahhh, the good old days!
Another early start. Another quick breakfast. The four and twenty sausage roll (I eat half) and tomato sauce. Coffee shop isn’t open yet so have to wait for coffee
My convenience store diorama is finally complete. I had it done over a year ago, but had to disassemble it when my home had to be packed up. Put it back together again and finally had enough light again to take some pictures.

One of the very cool things I get to do at Esplanade is sampling music of
really good artists. Coming up in the month of March is the Mosaic Music
Festival . In this 10-day festival
showcasing just about every genre of music. (Or so they say.)
Anyway, that's really interesting. Considering a typical pigeon-hole dweller
like myself usually only ends up with whatever the radio or television
plays, and almost all are "popular" so to speak. Then here I end up with
indie artists with a cult following. It only goes to show how limited the
choice of music Singaporeans can choose from. For that, I'll have to concede
when a foreigner says we are frogs-in-a-well. I never even heard of names
like Kings of Convenience, Jason Mraz, Brandtson and Copeland before
Baybeats and MMF 2006, let alone their music and showmanship.
If we compare the technical and creative abilities of Jamie Cullum and Jason
Mraz, we may find ourselves saying Jamie Cullum sort of sucks. So popular
music isn't about talent anyway, it's all about marketing. No wonder our
artists need to go overseas to be discovered. Critical mass is one thing,
but people here aren't even looking! We are just sitting here waiting for
chart toppers to fall into our laps. Everywhere else, people are scouring
for new talent and good work.
For a taste of indie music, come to the Esplanade on 16, 17 and 18 Mar 06.
