Out of one,and into another.Unless you have to step out to get a bite to eat.The shot was taken on 34th St in Manhattan.The old yellow building to the far left is 36 W34th St,it was built around 1885.The famous NYC Astor family owned brownstone mansions on this block and this building was one of them.If you zoom in on the two dormer windows on the top floor,there are four Aladdin-type urns above them which have been there since the building's construction.

MNPCH is on the home stretch of its' 700+ mile journey from North Platte to Clearing Yard in the city as it traverses IHB trackage towards its destination. Here it ducks under the BNSF Racetrack in La Grange, and leading today is the UP 1988, the MKT heritage unit.
I decided to call it a chase after getting 4014 crossing the bridge over I-294 at Thornton, and was making my way towards Russell's BBQ in Elmwood Park (it was ok) when Mark checked ATCS and saw it lined south. Came into La Grange with no more than 5 minutes to get set up and wait.

When I got up this morning and let the dog out for morning business I could see some nice warm light through the trees. So decided the morning two-mile walk with my dog would be a little earlier today and grabbed the camera.
This was taken while on the way to the local park and I liked the lighting from the local stores against the dawn sky.
My schnauzer was excited as he was able to go off sidewalk with me when I usually tell him not to chase after the squirrels. Liked how this scene framed up with the trees.

It's funny when a photo you think is pretty average in the scheme of things becomes one of the most viewed! I like this but think I have better in my photostream, yet it's by far my most viewed picture! How strange! Maybe it's because it stands out in a small view because of the red.
