Car Traffic on the shoot of the Belgian Feature Film “Adem” (ENG: Oxygen, 2010 - Hans Van Nuffel). This was one of the last pic’s of a something-else-roll I had. I was with 2 extra rolls of the legendary Kodachrome film I reserved specially for this occasion. It was my first time shooting with it and the last year that Kodak was still processing this film. I was pretty excited. Shot everything till got bubbles on my index finger, as usual I thought I had the best shots ever. Send it to Kodak Lausanne to develop it, they so did, but the film got lost on its way back. Long story short: I’ll never be able to say if those pictures were any good. I guess Life decided to show me that memory is the most important on this equation. At the end that’s what photography is about: eternal fragments of memory.
This sculpture, one of a pair found outside of the Federal Trade Commission Building, is entitled "Man Controlling Trade" and was completed for the FTC Building in 1942 by New York sculptor Michael Lantz.

A controlled burn of a farmhouse and some outbuildings at the site of a future Woodmans Market in Sun Prairie, WI on June 30, 2008.
At least that's what this looks like to me. Beyond the housing subdivision (whose entrance gate is at lower right) lies the Withlacoochie State Forest, where controlled burns are not unusual. This one happened to occur on a day with an otherwise crystal clear blue sky. I'd seen the plume while driving to a meeting of the free-writing group I facilitate and pulled into the nearest parking lot to photograph it. By the time of the meeting the smoke had mostly dissipated.
This is the control panel for the telescope and dome that must have been installed in the past 30 or 40 years. Some buttons were missing so I don't think it's operational.
The Prescott Fire Department came to Yavapai College as part of the Career and Job Fair. I could not resist taking a photo of all the knobs and dials. It reminds me of something I might find in a submarine.

Se renovó la señalética vertical del casco urbano de Chone, a través de la Dirección de tránsito del gobierno local y conforme lo determina el Instituto Nacional de Normalización, a través del Reglamento Técnico 004-2011.
Este reglamento, cumple con lo establecido en el artículo 208 de la Ley Orgánica de Transporte Terrestre y Seguridad Vial, donde se establecen los requisitos y características de diseño que debe cumplir la señalización vial, con el propósito de proteger la salud y la seguridad de las personas y que es de aplicación y control obligatorio, por parte de los Municipios y de la Policía de tránsito.
La señalética vertical, indica los lugares no permitidos para el estacionamiento vehicular. Una vez que el Municipio cumplió con el cronograma para renovar la señalización, la policía de tránsito inició el control y ordenamiento de los vehículos.
Cristhian Paspuel Noriega, jefe policial de tránsito, manifestó que han emprendido un exhaustivo control ante los conductores de vehículos.
Primero dialogamos con los conductores y si hacen caso omiso de las observaciones, aplicamos las citaciones y si los propietarios de los vehículos mal estacionados no están presentes, estos son retirados por grúas y conducidos al retén de Ricaurte, con la respectiva sanción de tres puntos menos en la licencia y 10% del salario básico unificado (SBU) informó Pasquel.
El funcionario explicó que el control, ordenamiento y sanciones que están realizando está basado en el artículo 331 numeral 5 del Código Orgánico Integral Penal (COIP) y en concordancia con el Reglamento Técnico para el control del tránsito, por lo que invitó a los conductores a colaborar de la mejor manera.
