Na de controle van de Struktonmachines bleef er nog zat tijd over om eens een beetje rond te snuffelen op het werkplaatsterrein. Daar bleek een Locon V100 te staan waar wat mee was maar ik kon het niet 1 2 3 zien... dichterbij gekomen was het klip en klaar.... voorliefde met een DE 2200!! Nee geen proef, de draaistellen zijn uiteraard in revisie.
The majority of the control panel is now completed with the controllers and switches situated above the return loops and depot areas. Doubtless , operating experience will result in minor changes as time goes on.
Pointwork on the right hand board is controlled by wire push rods, whilst points on the left board are powered by solenoids controlled by the four SPDT switches on the far left.

Bed bugs are a big problem around the world. They multiply quickly and can be transferred from one place to the other in cloths and belonging of guests. They are particularly common in hotels and other places such as trains and busses. Bed bugs can then easily hitch a ride on your clothes and reach your home. From there they can multiply quickly. This is the control room aboard Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas. There are monitors and alarms to keep track of pretty much all aspects of the ship. They can even tell if individual balcony doors are open or closed, and what is the temperature in each stateroom. Elevators are also controlled from here. Most importantly, the ship's six engines are controlled here by computer. They can also be manually operated. There are multiple levels of redundancy to everything.
I developed this panel for my JR-East N gauge project, Tohoku City high level station, which is also served by city trams at ground level. The panel handes platform line select, station approach point control, and signalling. You can see that the Shinkansen tracks are separated from the local commuter lines. The panel front is clear 4mm perspex/acrylic painted on the reverse side.
The control room for the Mock-Up Reactor was perched directly above its core. The large windows allowed the operators to view the controls and monitors, as well as the activity in the core below.

I spent a night with my friend Sparky who invited me to attend his visit to a local hobby club. It was a fun couple of hours of photo enjoyment for me.
"Very good, ye' nearly have it," he said softly as the sound of the flames died down to a faint roar.
Lily took a breath, a coyote howled somewhere far off. Her concentration wavered. "Dammit," she growled, the fire shooting up high before dying out completely.
"Ye'll get it soon enough, donnae worry."

All of the ceiling fans in Cambodia had these huge control boxes. These are antiques but even the more recent ones are similarly sized.
