My favorite of several shots taken at Descanso Gardens on National Public Gardens Day--and one that apparently impressed the judges in the National Public Gardens Day 2011 Photo Contest -- it came in second!
Though the roses were in spectacular full bloom, it's the forest of these massive native coast live oaks, some of them 200 years old, that makes Descanso truly special.
With her tiara and her court jester. Because I owe her a tiara photo on her birthday. xD
I must admit, this looks so cheesy! Shouldn't have put her bunny toy beside her.
Ehn, you see the yellow patch in that pretty background? The background's the lid of the cardboard box she tore up... The yellow bit is the wall, through the hole.
Another thing. She got the best birthday present ever! Hee, she won Bunspace's "my most disapproving look" contest with this photo. Her first ever win. :)
Thanks for voting for her!
I won "Artist of the Month" with this Art Supply Store for one of my Still Life Photographs that I entered into a recent Contest! Out of 146 mixed media art, I won! Check out A. I. Friedman on Facebook to see my winning photo!

Apologies for the watermark. I took this photo in October of 2009 (a month after Typhoon Ondoy ravaged Metro Manila), primarily as a gift to Mr. Men Sta. Ana and Cong. Miro Quimbo of Marikina, for accepting our invitation to be our wedding godparents. They have the only two "clean" prints of this image.

One summer night when I was writing the dissertation I feel thirsty and took a glass of water. The frosted glass just inspired me.

The memorial was erected to honor of the Filipino and American servicemen who participated in the Pacific War. Financed with an appropriation by the United States Congress, it was completed in 1968. The major memorial structure is a rotunda in which a circular altar falls directly under the dome's open center through which light falls on the altar during daylight hours. The altar symbolizes a wreath of victory with the following words inscribed on its rim: "Sleep, my sons, your duty done, for Freedom's light has come; sleep in the silent depths of the sea, or in your bed of hallowed sod, until you hear at dawn the low, clear reveille of God." The memorial also houses a museum which serves as the repository of relics and memorabilia related to the history of Corregidor.
This is my first ever self portrait! It's for a group contest. I used the self timer, my Lightscoop and my joby gorillapod :) Wow, sp's are exhausting! This is also a slight play on words, as I, like many of you, may be going f&f soon to keep little Olivia safe...
Update: it won the contest & won me a FREE set of Marta's new actions :)

I entered a contest for an online clothing store that I get my "pretty" clothes from, and I won! I got to pick any item from their site. This is the dress I picked. They even priority mailed it to me so I could wear it to my brother's wedding rehearsal.
It fit beautifully, and I felt pretty in it. www.Igigi.com, I heart you!
Who knew that getting all girly and dressed up for Halloween could pay off?
Runners up received a $100 gift certificate. The Pyramid Collection has a lot of nice costumes. Looking at this I apparently got beat out for first place by a GG! (At least I hope so...) This will also be on their Facebook page.
With the upcoming release of KDE 4.0 (a Linux desktop environment), four of my photo will be among the fifteen included wallpapers users around the world get to choose from. They were chosen from over 2000 entries. The announcement is here.
You can download and use wallpapers from my site for your own personal use, but please don’t repost them anywhere. Unless you download them from KDE, they are still © All Rights Reserved. I have recently started putting up my images for sale at Shutterpoint if you are interested in using them commercially. I am willing to discuss licensing them for free in other large open source projects too, but you must ask first.
The ones on the left were taken with my Canon Powershot S2 IS, the right with the S5. No DSLR required. ;-)
There was a light fog and still waters when I drove by this the other day on my way to work, so I had to stop for minute. One of the few benefits of being self employed is being able to come in 5 minutes late without any hassels! ;-)
HOW do you like to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it's the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!
Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
Rivers and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside—
Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!

The Time Twister event isn't a total disaster. Everyone, no matter their home time or space, can enjoy a flick at the Micropolis Drive-In. Choose your favorite ride, grab some popcorn, and make sure to get there early. You don't want to park behind the prehistoric visitors.
Congratulations Pinkxel!! Please fm your details so I can ship your prize!! Thank you to all that participated! :-)
.....ME! Yeah, I'm bragging on myself a little. I entered this photo in a contest on Betterphoto.com and it won First Place. Check it out:
