Not contented with the two horns on its head, this decoration of a cute baby ox is blowing on a horn to trumpet the arrival of the year of the Ox in the Chinese world.

Contented cat at Newquay Zoo, Cornwall.

The Contented Pig is no longer bringing home the bacon. This photograph of yet another abandoned pub in Portsmouth has been a long time in the making. I waited for a Sunday morning to be able to stop where I wanted and find Fratton Road less busy than on weekdays. I find the building itself both striking and intriguing and its condition sad.

This was the only cat that appreciated me in the kittycafe - purred up a storm, and all I did was pet him/her. One eye is brown and the other blue, but you can't see that here...:)

He really didn't take long to settle in. Thanks to his breeder, Shirley Evans, who made sure he was such a happy and confident little cat.
