milady and a contented lap-lander

Lotuses starting to bloom at BBG (Brooklyn Botanical Garden), New York

Lola and Sparky recline on a sofa recently vacated by their primate staff.

He is such a contented and beautiful boy. Jacob was born at 28 weeks old and here he is sitting up like a big boy at 8 months old. He's such a happy and noisy little thing and I'm so pleased that my friends have this gorgeous boy in their lives.

Couldn't post anything else but shot for Happy - March SH

Fortunately he grew out of his fondness for this sleeping spot. When he wanted to sleep there he would just get in and start shoving all the contents of the cubbyhole out onto the floor (like binoculars, staplers, pens, etc.) so I would quickly remove them before he had the chance. :-)

When I was 7 or 8 years old my father who was a sergeant in the Canadian Army shipped off to the Korean War. He was a tank mechanic. His tank, the Contented Cow had no large gun on the front and was fitted with a crane on the back. Kind of like a tow tank.

They had to go in and repair damaged tanks and get them back into action.

I recently came across a few old photos of him and the tank.

They were pretty faded but PhotoShop can do wonders.

Contented Cows busy eating sweet grasses to turn into milk and then tasty cheese, served with fresh bread and delicious soups in the cafe of the property's visitor center ( not seen, but just a bit right from the little wood near the road.)

scratch my head! purring like an outboard motor at this point, garden lying in the sunlight and getting plenty of attention, happy cat

A brand new puzzle from Hallmark. Very special: The 500 pieces are coated with fabric instead of paper! Finished January 14, 2006.

Meadow, happy to have humans back home from their travels.

Not contented with the surrounding Mountains, these folks decided to add some to their house... As well as a glass lift shaft. This was a real standout amongst the tons of fancy mountain/alpine houses we saw on our ride today.

These contented little porkers were on show at the Real Food Festival. What their long-term destiny is I couldn't possibly say. I'm wondering though if they might be lolpigs. Possibly:

Contentedly seated on my lap right now, Mini Moo perked up around 4am overnight, finally eating. I had my husband's laptop down in the basement with me, and here you can see Mini Moo on the keyboard by his own photo. This little guy should make it through today, and I hope that he gets stronger and stronger with each passing hour! We'll get him to a vet this morning to get a more potent antibiotic than the one I have available to me. . .
