These three containers showcase the new City of Yarra litter bins in Queens Parade. There may be more designs elsewhere but the three I saw are good for #cf14!

My big container by the deck turned out pretty well. The Goldilocks creeping jenny spilling over the sides is very reliable and dramatic. The magenta impatiens were dependable and bloomed all summer, although they looked a little sun-bleached. The Swallowtail coleus was a little boring, though. It was a replacement for the disappointing Kong Rose coleus. I tried two Kongs and both died on me.

Here's how it started off a few months before.

A beautiful little fabricated sterling silver container with a bezel set mother of pearl lid. It takes an easy twist off motion to remove the lid.

Cranes for loading the container ships

Our containers have been tracked down amongst seemingly endless mountains of steel. As the boat is 15.5 metres long, it was built in two sections which fit inside a 20 foot and a 40 foot container. The tiresome paperwork almost done, it's now time for customs to inspect the contents of our containers. This is our first glance of what's inside...

I don't normally go monochrome but the colour balance was so whacked out in this one, I thought it wise. That and the fact that the image lends itself reasonably well to the shadow and mood of a black and white presentation (I think).

We are GREEN!!! Our containers are made of corn!!!

Maybe it was the colour ???? Unit is probably headed for the SEATTLE DOCKS

It seems to be an unwritten rule that microspace builders need a container ship somewhere in their fleet. Thus, I built this little number, an interplanetary tugboat which latches to barges such as this one. I'm fairly happy with the design, the idea was generally a space Model T. As such, it comes in any color, so long as it's black. The engines are able to rotate and I'll probably flesh them out in the future somewhat. Very much inspired by this ship by нawk.

From container to trailer....then home

See those containers stacked with the windows on the sides of them? Inside are fully decorated offices. There are lights, chairs, desks and wall units with file folders in them. You can see employees talking and working. I assume these are temporary and have something to do with the construction on Alte Schönhauser Straße. From the weblog: theberlinimage.blogspot.com/

Seattle's container port: Trucks roll up, the crane picks up the container and places it carefully on the ship. Big win for standardization of The Box

I'd never seen containers like these. They look to have running boards attached with chains to the sides.
