Flying into Singapore today, I was struck afresh by the number of container ships all around it. A LinkedIn article says that Singapore handles 1,000 tons of cargo per minute.
I managed to get inside a shipping container storage facility early one morning a few days ago. This photo, the two previous ones and a few more to follow, were taken in around this amazing place until I was 'discovered' and asked to leave.
Am Abend ergab sich dieses Bild der 3 Energiecontainer beim Umsetzen im Bw Dresden-Friedrichstadt. Auf dem Bild zu sehen sind 3 Lackierungsvarianten der Baureihe 155 von Budamar West. Das DB Emblem an 155 151 wurde allerdings nur kurz für das Foto angebracht.

In de laatste week van Oktober 2024 was de Liège Logistics Intermodal terminal in Bierset (B) niet bereikbaar, wegens werkzaamheden op zowel L36A, als L36 zelf. De Spedirail en de TTS shuttle gingen in die week naar de Container Terminal Trilogiport DP World in Oupeye (B), waarmee die terminal na lange tijd eindelijk weer eens wat treinen zag. De China trein, welke te herkennen is aan de vele ZIH containers, week in die week uit naar de Liège Container Terminal in Renory (B), waarmee ook deze terminal eindelijk weer eens een trein zag. Na het stoppen van de coils treinen die lange tijd naar Renory 1 reden, is het hier helaas een stille boel geworden. Crossrail reed alle treinen tot Kinkempois (B), van waaruit Lineas dan alle treinen reed naar Renory 1 of Oupeye. Op 31 Oktober 2024 was het de Lineas 7726 welke de vol beladen China trein 34444 geduwd richting de Liège Container Terminal bracht, alwaar de trein over 2 sporen verdeeld zou worden.

Re:START is an outdoor retail space consisting of temporary buildings made from shipping containers. Opened in October 2011, Re:START has been steadily growing to approximately 40 retailers, a number of food caravans and a market on the weekend.

Thank you all for your comments, faves and support. I do not know why lately there was a sudden growth of interests in my work, so, I am sorry if I do not reply or reciprocate your comments and faves.

Glancing through my gallery you might think that we have an abundance of insect life in our surroundings. Nothing could be further from the truth and I struggle to find much at all day to day, especially at the moment during our anticyclonic gloom. One species that does seem to have done OK is the mother of pearl moth - patania ruralis. As I go around the garden watering with the hose, I inevitably disturb one or two moths and this one flew out yesterday and secreted itself amongst the Japanese azalea leaves. Usually these moths in flight travel fast and disappear before I can pinpoint their position. But I managed to spot this one's hiding place and got a snap or two, even with our dark, grey skies overhead. These mother of pearl moths have emerged from a clump of nettles which we grew in a container pot. Quite often they have flapped back into the nettles which have kindly stung me as I strive for a snap or two. This time however, there were no such hazards.

I've had these items for some years and photographed them before.
Played around with the lighting, the positioning of the four items.
the arrangement in the frame, and also the height of the tripod.
Today this is the best version, tomorrow I might change my mind!
Very little post-processing.
Jupiter 8 50mm f2 ............................................ well within the 3" limit.
Container and roll of painter's tape. I use this to tape prints to my study wall. This allows me to live with the prints and notice changes I might want to make. No damage to wall paint.
