Thank you all for your comments, faves and support. I do not know why lately there was a sudden growth of interests in my work, so, I am sorry if I do not reply or reciprocate your comments and faves.

For "Macro Mondays" group theme "Container"

I've had these items for some years and photographed them before.

Played around with the lighting, the positioning of the four items.

the arrangement in the frame, and also the height of the tripod.

Today this is the best version, tomorrow I might change my mind!

Glancing through my gallery you might think that we have an abundance of insect life in our surroundings. Nothing could be further from the truth and I struggle to find much at all day to day, especially at the moment during our anticyclonic gloom. One species that does seem to have done OK is the mother of pearl moth - patania ruralis. As I go around the garden watering with the hose, I inevitably disturb one or two moths and this one flew out yesterday and secreted itself amongst the Japanese azalea leaves. Usually these moths in flight travel fast and disappear before I can pinpoint their position. But I managed to spot this one's hiding place and got a snap or two, even with our dark, grey skies overhead. These mother of pearl moths have emerged from a clump of nettles which we grew in a container pot. Quite often they have flapped back into the nettles which have kindly stung me as I strive for a snap or two. This time however, there were no such hazards.

Crazy Tuesday theme for this week is "Container and contents"

I wanted a more creative shot than a passing ship, so I lined up this composition.

The departure of ships from the Schelde River is governed by tidal patterns and the availability of deepwater channels. Due to the tides, vessels departing from the river must carefully plan their departure time to ensure sufficient water depth for safe navigation. Pilots, experienced navigators with knowledge of the local waters, often assist ships in their departure, guiding them through the river and the estuary to ensure a smooth and secure transition into the open sea.

For Macro Mondays theme of containers, a small case from a Tickle Me Elmo Barbie Doll. Size of photo is 2.25 inches square.

CP 8781 leads CSX I166 East through LaGrange Park, IL.

Vrijdag 11 augustus werd er heerlijk afgetrapt in Obernjesa waar onder andere Netzwerkbahn Sachsen voorbij kwam met de ingevlogen Retrack 159 221 voor de kaliloogtrein naar Bokeloh. Later op de ochtend passeerde daar ook nog de donkerblauwe SEL 181 204 met een lege autotrein, die foto volgt later nog. De bedoeling was nog om HVLE met haar kaliloogtrein in Obernjesa vast te leggen, maar deze bleef maar hangen in Bebra waardoor die hoop op een gegeven moment opgegeven werd.

Vanuit het zuiden zou SETG ook nog komen met een hele fraaie trein, namelijk de Mercer Schnitholzzug welke vandaag getrokken werd door een bestickerde Vectron, iets wat nog altijd ontbrak in mijn collectie. Hoewel de zon in het Leinetal overal fout ging staan voor treinen vanuit het zuiden, kon deze trein ten westen van Eichenberg wel vastgelegd worden. Er zijn tussen Eichenberg en Bebra twee mogelijkheden om van noord naar zuid en andersom te rijden. De snelste en drukste route is die over Sontra, en de langzamere en vanzelfsprekend veel rustigere route is die over Kassel. Omdat de route over Sontra een aantal flinke heuvels heeft, rijden treinen met een hoog treingewicht standaard over Kassel heen, en laat nou net deze trein van SETG een zware jongen zijn. Dit kwam perfect uit, want waar alle treinen vanuit Sontra op dat moment dus overal fout voor de zon reden, kon deze trein vanuit Kassel wel vastgelegd worden.

Echter is de lijn over Kassel totaal niet populair bij de fotografen omdat nagenoeg alles over Sontra rijdt. Een dag van tevoren had ik het traject al onder de loep genomen maar de conclusie was dat deze spoorlijn inderdaad een schaarste had in leuke locaties. Pal achter Eichenberg, zo'n 2 kilometer na de splitsing met de lijn naar Sontra, vond ik ter hoogte van Witzenhausen wel een mogelijke locatie. Aangezien ik de kans erg klein achtte dat het noodzakelijk was deze stek te bezoeken had ik verder niet gekeken naar recente cabinerit video's. Echter veranderde die gedachte dus snel toen we van SETG hoorden, en dus werd er tijdens het wachten op SEL in Obernjesa gekeken of er nog recent beeldmateriaal was. Na wat beelden concludeerden we dat het best wel eens leuk kon zijn, en dus werd er na de klikjes in Obernjesa richting het gebied tusen Eichenberg en Witzenhausen gereden alwaar het geoogste veld werd ingelopen. Nadat dan de hoogstatieven stonden wisten we het zeker, we hadden vrij onverwachts wel een hele leuke locatie gevonden. Zo kon na de vondst van Vince in Obernjesa, deze ochtend de tweede zelf gevonden stek, nu namens mijzelf, afgestreept worden. Eens wat anders dan de dertien in een dozijn bekende stekken in het Leinetal!

Het is 8:46 als de volgende Bomber van de dag voor de lens verschijnt in de vorm van de SETG 193 219 "Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht" met haar blauwe muur. Als Mercer houtsnippertrein 88936 laat het geheel hier net Witzenhausen achter zich onderweg vanuit Ingolstadt naar Borstel. Zo kon er eindelijk eens een bestickerde Vectron van SETG gefotografeerd worden met zo'n fraaie blauwe muur op een zelf gevonden stek, dat voelt goed :D
