A bunch of senior high school reps and I were going to meet in Old Town Ft Collins and do some shooting in and around the fountain. But since the weather felt more like late winter, we decided to take it indoors. Kaila and Brie absolutely killed it. They have both been excellent muses and are amazing to work with. Shots with Brie coming soon.

Lighting: Main: SB-900 in Photoflex medium softbox six feet high angled down at 45 degrees camera right fired CLS TTL 0EV. Fill: SB-900 in 28in Westscott Apollo Softbox three feet high level camera left fired CLS TTL EV-0.7. Backlight: SB-900 about four feet off the ground directly behind the model fired CLS TTL EV-1.3. Additional fill from SB-600 just below camera fired down into a 54in silver Westcott reflector CLS TTL EV 0.0. With the exception of the SB-600, all flashes were fired with dome diffuser on and zoomed wide. The quality of the light coming into Kai's face is heavily influenced by the silver reflector at her feet lying on the floor.

Post processing: cloned out a hint of the back light stand and cropped out the silver reflector on the floor.

Bengal region has a multifaceted culture due to the influence of Buddhist, Hindus and Muslim cultures. Though the country is Muslim dominated, Hindus too celebrate their festivals with gaiety.

Of course, the pomp and show of Holi as witnessed in India is missing, nevertheless, celebrations do take place. Hindu community gather in temples and exchange greetings with each other and play with colours.

Indian culture has influenced Bangladesh a lot as the country is nestled in the crook of the Bay of Bengal and is surrounded by India. It shares a border in the south-east with Myanmar and fronts onto the Bay of Bengal. The country is flat and dominated by the braided strands of the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Jamuna delta. Bangladesh's Muslims and Hindus live in relative harmony.

Holi, The Festival of Colors presents a wonderful opportunity for art teachers to use bright colors in their art lessons. Colored powders can be created to create powder paintings (similar to sand paintings). Paintings can be created to illustrate the history of the Indian holiday.

The Festival of Colours, (also called Holaka, Phagwa, Dhulheti, Dhulandi or Dhulendi) is a popular Hindu spring festival observed around the world. Holi is a time when humans and nature shake off the gloom of winter and rejoice in the colors of spring. The holiday is primarily observed in India, Nepal, and countries with large Hindu populations such as Suriname, Guyana, Fiji, Mauritius and Trinidad. In West Bengal of India and Bangladesh, it is known as Dolyatra (Doljatra) or Boshonto Utsav. The annual festival is celebrated on the day of the full moon in the Hindu month of Phalguna. That month is March in the anglo calendar. In 2009 Holi was celebrated on March 11. In 2010 it will be celebrated February 28. The most important day, Holi, is celebrated by Hindus throwing colored powder and colored water at each other. The Holika Dahan (or Chhoti Holi) is celebrated by lighting bonfires.

Constructive criticism required.

Are polybags a good choice for the liquid-look? How does the vomiting action look like? Is the facial expression good?

Well, my dog seems to be more interesting to people than my actual photography itself, so I figured I would combine the two. But, I'm sure that because this has some level of creativity in it, it won't be as popular as my other shots of Lily. ;)

As always, constructive criticism and/or tips (equipment use, post-processing, creativity, etc) for capturing a better photo would be extremely helpful and appreciated...

Thank you for every single view, comment, and fav. They are very much appreciated!

The Dreadnought Heavy Steam Railship is armed with three forward-mounted medium cannon turrets, one rear-mounted medium cannon turret, and one quadruple-barreled anti-aircraft cannon. In order to accommodate the many turrets, the first and last turret barrels may be unscrewed to allow for the coupling of additional rail cars, of which the railship would serve as the protector. The Dreadnought is equipped with a large removable battering ram capable of derailing disabled trains and clearing other obstacles off of the track and out off the path of the railship. A cargo area beneath the anti-aircraft turret is devoted to supplies for the crewmen on long journeys. In reality, a monstrosity such as this would require as many as twelve crewmen, twice as many as the “Destroyer” Light Steam Railship (Mk. XXXIII).
