My last eagle from this year's Conowingo trip. Yep, no regrets from leaving Canon. My back, muscles, joints all thank me :)
Screaming his head off, this Bald Eagle held a freshly caught shad in his talon.
Announcing to the world that it was his fish, it didn't stop a black vulture sneaking a bit or two from behind him.
Nor did it stop a juvenile Bald Eagle to land right onto his dining table.

A couple of interesting days at Conowingo. Yesterday, there was lots of fighting and interacting among the Eagles (see below). Today, almost none. Yesterday, lots of early activity. Today, dead in the morning, active in the afternoon. What will tomorrow bring????? It's also interesting to see how many young birds are there. TONS of sub-adults. Many, many even younger and just a smattering of full adults. The breeding must be going well. With all the youngsters, this must be the Eagle equivalent of the local mall.
Maybe Lenny.

Instead of fighting with the somewhat limited reach of my lens, and pushing the limits of cropping... I've decided to embrace it and appreciate the beautiful autumn backdrops...
All going after the same fish but The Juvenile on the top ends up with the fish taken to a tree to eat. Amazing to watch these 6 foot wingspan birds fight for a fish
