The #MacroMondays #Connection theme
The potential energy stored within the coiled spring of a clockwork pocket watch is gradually released via a bewildering combination of cogs to drive the hands which tell us the time.
This is a 3 image HDR macro photo, taken as shown with an extension tube added, totally desaturated with contrast increased during processing. It was backlit with a white light source. A reflector was handheld over the camera to illuminate the front.

The connection in the mushroom is based on the edge of the hat to the lamellae.
Other connections of mushrooms are with the ground and with autumn.

Taken hand held, lying down. Cropped for the theme.
Title is a Rolling Stones song.
One of our worlds most important connections. Without bees and other flying insects, there would be no fruit, veg or flowers.

Part of a Sol LeWitt installation at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Arts (Mass MoCA), North Adams, Massachusetts (USA). This pleases me so much.
The Iowa Women of Achievement Bridge is a pedestrian connection over the Des Moines River linking the east and west sides of Des Moines, Iowa at the northern edge of the Principal Riverwalk loop. The photo was taken from Robert D. Ray Drive near the Asian garden pavilion on the east side of the river.
Photographed with a Holga 120N camera using Ilford HP5 Plus 400 black and white film. The film was developed by @dsmfilmlab with the negative scanned and digitized using a Canon EOS 5D Mark III with an EF100mm f/2.8 macro lens.
Miss Roxy having a chill Saturday afternoon watching a light rain falling while sitting out on the porch. Today is a good day to practice using my wireless connection between my camera and my iPhone. Tomorrow we will be going to see how the construction is going at the new house. We hit a snag on the original house. Seems there was an adverse encroachment on our property by a fence from the farmers land behind us. The builder said he was not going to resolve the situation. After some back and forth and our attorney’s involvement, they cancelled our contract with a full refund of all monies invested. It took a couple of weeks but we found what we think is an even better location, a larger lot that is better and a floor plan with a lot more features we like. The delay is a hassle but it will be worth it. If the weather and supply chain hold up we hope to close and move in in about another 8 to 10 weeks. Hope to get some decent photos to post tomorrow. We have also found a great Aussie breeder here in Georgia and look forward to the possibility of a little brother (or sister maybe) for Roxy after we get in the new place.

This piece is indicative of the bonds I have with people heart to heart. The inspiration for this piece is a precious relationship which opened my heart again when it was so battered and closed, and it allowed me to love life again. The red heart line is the attachment I have to this man's heart. I haven't seen him for years, but I still feel the effect of him being there for me. The other bonds illustrated are lovely people who have given me a hand up, smiled at me, listened when I have needed it.... and more.
My heart is always grateful and always remembers. Always have.. always will.
