A week from tonight they will be tying down the westbound to Promontory for the 150th anniversary of the Transcontinental Railroad that literally built America from its journey over Sherman Hill and the mighty #overlandroute . This railroad made us who we are; gave us the industrial might to conquer World War Two and keeps our economy on the move to this day. Congratulations! @uprr Union Pacific on this incredible achievement and a special round of applause to the crews and teams of the Union Pacific Steam Program in Cheyenne, Wyoming. .

My son is getting married to his Sweetheart, Lyndsey, on February 11th. They've been together since Sophomore year in High School. It's about time! I am a very happy mom indeed!!!!

Today ist the Independence Day of the United States, also referred to as the Fourth of July or July Fourth in the U.S..

to Scott as he leaves tomorrow (June 23, 2017) to continue his studies at the University of Washington Medex Physician Assistant School. Scott has been a friend and colleague for the past eighteen years and I'm certain that not only those of us who have worked with him, but also so many of our students, know how much so many more people are going to benefit from his continuing education and experience. Also, thanks to the support of some great colleagues in the Division of Extended Studies at Boise State University, we will be able to present our Natural History of Reptiles and Amphibians Workshop for another year making it the twenty first year for me and the eighteenth year for Scott that we have had the honor to help almost 4000 BSU students better understand and appreciate amphibians and reptiles.
