There are quite a few subsidiary shrines atop the Swayambhunath hill, so much so that the small hilltop has become extremely congested as you can see here. The shrines are a mix of Hindu and Buddhist temples, so although Swayanbhunath is a predominantly Buddhist shrine, Hindus hold it in great reference as well and flock here in their numbers. Extensive notes about the Swayambhunath shrine appeared earlier in this album. (see previous pictures). Swayambhunath is also at times over run with monkeys, but I saw only very few of them at that time of the day- it was still only around 08:30 in the am. (Kathmandu, Nepal, Oct/ Nov 2019)

Jackie has the formal diagnosis of the congestive heart failure caused by left ventrical degeneration. But, the good news is that she could manage comfortable for a long time (hope, hope, hope). I've been giving her the heart pills and such. She's doing better, but still coughing, only not as much or as intense. Bring her back on Monday or Tuesday for another blood test to make sure the kidneys are holding up...plus to pick up the low sodium dog food. Thank goodness, she is a bit of a glutton, she'll eat anything. If it was Junior, I'd have a problem changing his food!

Sure am glad I have the controls memorized and drive routes congested enough that "speed" is relative.

I'm a healthy person, I don't get sick very often, but when i do, I'm the worst.

I have no patience for it, I hate how it zaps my energy, and makes me continually blow my nose until it's a bleeding stump on my face.

i received this gift ,that keeps giving ,from my scurvy kid.

Why so many motorcycles? In an old congested city, where there is hardly any street or off street parking, they offer economic transport and door to door access.

After one passes westward from the congested environs of the Queens Center Mall, the commercial lifeline of the subway corridor veers to the north and the Boulevard suddenly becomes nearly desolate, with auto shops, cheap motels, and abandoned places like this...

"Let's walk to Brooklyn"

-turned into a daylong, wandering, 13-mile trek through Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. We set out at about 2 pm and, after many little food and drink stops here and there, arrived to some friends at Culturefix (http://www.flickr.com/search/?w=72082456%40N00&q=culturefix&m=text) around 10:30.

At age 15, my sweet beagle Gil passed onward this morning.

He had been very ill with congestive heart failure.

It was tough watching as he began to grow more ill each day and yet he remained his sweet and loving self.

His last week ironically was a very happy one and it seemed almost as if he would indeed feel better for a while.

This morning he fell from his favorite arm chair and had a massive heart attack that took him onward.

I was blessed to be with him, petting his sweet face and speaking to him as he passed.

His best dog friend Ginger was was licking his foot as he died. I'm thankful we were there.

We sure will miss Gil.

We were SO blessed by years of him in our lives.

The traffic on the M4 was rubbish tonight. Nice sky though.

I sleep in, after 8 o'clock which is unheard of for me. My throat felt scratchy and my chest congested so I decide to continue the leisurely morning in bed and don't emerge until 10:30. Luxurious laziness as a way to ward off any illness. I head into the kitchen to make scones and a giant pot of Earl Grey. It's my stash from Laduree, my trip to Paris more than two years ago. I wonder why I hang onto these things, remind myself that just an ordinary day is special enough to indulge in a fancy tea. I don't have much ambition all day. I watch a movie, Never Forever. It was quite good, made me really think. I like those kind of movies, the ones you wish there was someone watching it with you so that you could have a conversation about it right then. When I turn back to TV mode 27 Dresses is on and I get sucked into that even though I'm not that interested. I FaceTime my sister and the baby shows me her latest skills, the word "up" and finger in nose. How impressive! I wash the massive pile of dishes that seem to have accumulated on their own. I like to start the week fresh, but I hate doing the dishes. There is time before Downton Abbey comes on and I fill it reading articles about upward facing dog. There are insights I plan to incorporate into my practice and teaching. At last it is Downton Abbey time. I'm still perplexed about where they are going with the Mr. Bates story line. I head to bed after it is over. I'm so happy the weekend still has another day to it. Perhaps tomorrow I shall be a bit more ambitious.

Entering the market proper- the central market area- of Damnoen Saduak- too bad about that intrusive canopy coming in the way. This is probably one of the most chaotic, congested and crowded parts of the market, and surprisingly, we are not allowed to get off the boats here. There were several tourists there anyway, so I guess the central market is for folks on bus tours only. When I visited here last in Aug. 2002, this was the only market here in Damnoen Saduak. It was a crowded tourist trap even then, but not quite as bad. Nowadays, the market has expanded exponentially and there are several additional canals with stalls right along the side. So competition is intense and most of the stores seem to be selling the same type of merchandise- tourist kitsch mostly. (Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, Thailand, Oct. 2018),

One more night in Memphis and we took another look at Beale Street. This time a lot less congested and a lot less intimidating. Altogether a much better experience. Ate in the Hard Rock Cafe. I know not very adventurous but it was decent. And a stroll along Beale Street led to BB Kings where we were thoroughly entertained by one Patrick Dodd. Amaze-ing!!! Terrific blues and made Beale Street feel so much more worthwhile. This guy is awesome. He's on facebook, so check him out and if he's ever in your neck of the woods and if you love blues you will defy love this guy... www.facebook.com/patrickdoddmusic

Before leaving Memphis for Nashville I wanted to visit the Lorraine Motel, the scene of Martin Luther King's assasination as I read it was a civil right museum. When we got there we met the most incredible woman Ms Jacqueline Smith. She has bee protesting there for over 22 years. I got chatting to her and decided not to visit the museum after all. Read her story she is an amazing woman. And I got a wee kiss from her too!!! :D www.fulfillthedream.net/

Next stop Nashville wooooohooooo! (At last!!!)

Paddington, London

Although not far from congested roads and the commuters streaming out of Paddington Station, Little Venice is an oasis of peace and tranquillity. It's thought to have been so-named by the poet, Robert Browning.

Dozens of narrowboats, day trip boats and water cafés line this calm stretch where the Grand Union Canal meets the Regent's Canal. The famous Little Venice mansions provide a stunning backdrop. And the triangular pool, complete with willow tree, is home to several floating businesses such as the Waterside Cafe, London Waterbus, a floating art gallery and a hotel boat.

Got junk you want to get rid of immediately? Chances are there’s only four words on your mind for your local Del Mar Trash Removal Service- “how much” and “how long”. You are probably so tired of the extra junk which is making your home or property congested, that you care about nothing more than how much it will cost to move it- and how long before someone can get it done.

Unfortunately, it won’t be that cut and dry when you call a Del Mar junk removal company. Hauling junk which is moderate to large in size can cause quite a headache when dealing with your average company. Why? Because, most companies must send out a representative to take a look at the junk which is being removed from the property. This ultimately takes time, not to mention the added price which will be embedded in your charges for this unnecessary visit.

Fortunately, you can have your junk removed by fast, friendly professionals from Junk Valet. We are Del Mar’s premium junk removal service- we believe you deserve the best, even if it’s only junk. Our professionals are uniformed, so you’ll always know who you’re dealing with- and we use only the best in equipment, such as our 20 foot dump trucks, and other moving equipment. Why choose a company with a 12 foot dump truck, as most Del Mar junk removal companies have? Even though it’s junk, we believe in providing great service in the least amount of time possible- bigger dump trucks means less trips.

We’ve been providing quality valet junk service for over ten years- giving customers a safe, affordable, efficient way to get rid of their junk. Best of all- we do it all the same day. Yes, you can get a quote in the morning, and have your junk gone before bedtime. What could be better?

Calling Junk Valet will save time, as we will ask for a full description of your items, and provide an estimate over the phone. This way, you’ll have an idea of what you’ll be paying; there’s no wasting time sending people out to “look at your junk”, and nobody breathing down your neck to make a decision in haste. We believe in transparency, so there’s never any hidden fees you’ll have to worry about; once we arrive, we’ll provide your final quote and remove your junk in a timely manner. Don’t settle for just any Del Mar trash removal service, choose a company with a proven track record- choose Junk Valet.

We got off the train and took the metro to the Archaeological Museum stop. We were surprised at how dirty and congested Naples was.

Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Nana', 2019 photo, Common Name: Dwarf Japanese Hinoki Cypress, Size: 2x2ft., Dark Green, USDA Hardiness Zone 5, In Garden Bed HR-F for 22.1 YEARS (HLG). Planted in 1997.

Iseli Nursery: Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Nana’, introduced in 1867, remains a highly regarded industry standard. Superior features explain the reason: tightly cupped fans of dark green, highly congested foliage form a dense, miniature mound that contributes beautifully to small-scale plantings, including rock gardens, troughs and container gardens. Reliable year-round performance and very slow growth assure that ‘Nana’ will retain its claim to fame.

Location: Michigan State University, Hidden Lake Gardens, Tipton, MI. Harper Collection of Rare & Dwarf Conifers. HLG has this plant labelled as 'Nana Compacta' which is not found in the literature. So, I assume it is 'Nana'
