ugh this isn't the most flattering picture of me lol but it does show what I wore to the fancy shmancy conference banquet. my black lace dress, black hose and back lace heels. they're a great shoe but a little hard for me to tie. the right one ended up a bit loose but miraculously stayed tied. the left one snugged nicely but I only got one loop in it. with much of the event sitting at the table it didn't matter so much.

FerMUN: Model UN conference: Press Briefing at UN, Geneva, 8 January 2013.
ITU is proud to be hosting its first ever Model UN conference, which will take place at ITU headquarters in Geneva from 9-11 January 2013.
Model UN is a global UN programme for senior high school students that gives young people the chance to organize and participate in a simulated UN conference. Students choose a theme, research the topic, elect senior conference officials from among their number, organize their 3-day work programme, and agree on key resolutions.
The event is being hosted under by the Ferney Lycée International under the FerMUN banner.
Media and staff of UN agencies and NGOs are welcome to attend the FerMUN meetings, and the ITU is also very happy to set up interviews with students and organizers on demand. Photos and broadcast quality video are available on demand.

A sad meeting.
Last November 15 Joan's family met at the funeral home, where they basically verified a plan Joan and Edna had agreed to in August.
Since we were there I took a few pictures of Dewitt; one of those became my daily project image. I rarely visit downtown Dewitt, but last year I took photos there four times: In February, August, this trip, and another visit in November.
After the meeting everyone gathered at the farm, where we searched for a couple necessary documents. While we were sorting through Thelma's files we found a lifetime of interesting things. Those cheered everyone up.
