This is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saint's Conference Center in Salt Lake City Utah.
This is a very impressive religous facility and when completely full, it seats over 21,000 people.
The Irwin Conference Center was designed by Eero Saarinen. It is one of the first modern banks in America. It is one of the 6 National Historic Landmarks in Columbus Indiana. The model is also built at the 1/200th Scale
Shooting conferences can get visually boring really fast. Finding interesting images with countless panel discussions, expressionless audience members and in mixed lighting scenarios can be challenging. When I spotted this cowboy hat -- the only one among hundreds of attendees -- I knew exactly the image I wanted.
Guidebook cover for the Providence Anime Conference, a 21+ anime convention held in Providence, RI, October 3-5.
I was asked to make an illustration for the guidebook cover. Since PAC was a convention geared towards older anime fans, I referenced many series from the 60s, 70s and 80s in the design. The illustration is based off drawings a bored high school student would doodle while daydreaming about their favorite anime heroes.

The Joint Security Area (JSA) is the only portion of the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) where North and South Korean forces stand face-to-face. It is often called the Truce Village of Panmunjom (the Truce Village; or simply, Panmunjom) in the media and various military accounts.
The JSA is used by the two Koreas for diplomatic engagements and, until March 1991, was also the site of military negotiations between North Korea and the United Nations Command (UNC). In 2018, North and South Korean officials ordered the JSA to be cleared of all landmines, weapons, guard posts, and personnel. This withdrawal was complete on October 25, 2018 and the JSA now just contains 35 unarmed security guards. The area will also no longer function in its current state and it was agreed that it will now just serve as a tourist attraction. On November 6, 2018, it was announced that the UNC would transfer primary guard duties of the now demilitarized Joint Security Area to both North and South Korea.

I'm seeing more women as vid and photogs at press conferences, protest movements, and events. This young woman was so focused with the chaos around her.

Wow, talk about taking care of your speakers and building your brand. I was absolutely FLOORED to receive this awesome speaker package for the 2008 Sarasota Design Conference. Just Wow. Tip of the hat to the conference planners. My speaker schwag includes:
1) The obligatory speaker agreement that you will be recorded blah blah
2) A full color inviting welcome letter
3) A Moo card holder in a cool silver package with three funny pre-loaded cards. The first of which reads "Let's Be Friends!"
4) A silver ring for the moo card holder
5) Plastic case the moo cards shipped in, not a cardboard box.
