Yet another rained off evening for getting out with my camera, so I thought I would have a go at some more indoor photography projects to learn more about using a speedlight. This low-key lighting photo was taken using my LUMIX S1R with the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN standard zoom. Photographed with the speedlight (with softbox) illuminating the right side of the scene. With the speedlight at 1/2 power, the camera set to an aperture of f/16.0 and sensitivity of ISO100, a shutter speed of 1/60s gave a reasonable exposure. I used a sheet of white card to reflect light form the softbox back onto the left side of the salt and pepper pots to even up the exposure. Developed in DxO PhotoLab 3 and edited using Affinity Photo (to get rid of a few distracting dust spots on the black Perspex). One thing I am learning about this type of photo is that, however much you dusted your staging area…. it will not have been enough 😊

On all my salads I pour my own salad dressing. I know, the photo didn't work out very well, it's not easy to take pictures of food and get it to look tasty it looks more like something from outer space...
I love pictures of condiments on a table. I have no idea why. It might have started with one of William Eggleston's pictures.
i went for breakfast with my sister when i stayed with in bristol. she said she did not know where there any greasy spoon s, it took me and my trusty nose 3 min to sniff one out!
For Macro Mondays -condiments theme
Skin colour and pupils - Marmite
Beard - Mint Sauce
Hair - Mustard
Eyes- flaked almonds
mouth- chillie pepper
nose- pickled caper
HMM (a possibility)- the theme for today 4/16 is condiment and i have *4* possibilities and one in in process that actually shows the condiment, as per the request. this one is probably not a contender since the kitty is 3 and 1/2 inches tall (the parameters on MM is 3"by3", including negative space. yes, i kept circling back to the two spellings of the condiment: ketchup and cats-up

Menu and condiment rack on a dining table at The Little Diner in Huntsville, Alabama. The photo is a result of being bored while waiting for my lunch to be served.
It took Bullock ten minutes to make it over the condiment factory. He never did have a sense of urgency about anything, the only time I’ve seen him race is to his favourite coffee shop when Jim forces him to do an early shift. Pawney’s coffee. I’m pretty certain I own at least half that shop. Then again what don’t I own some part of these days. The burden of keeping up a playboy image to the public. By the time Bullock made it to the Condiment factory I’d had time to disassemble the dispenser pack that Standler wears when he goes on his ‘condiment spree’ and I hate to admit but the pack is quite a nice piece of mechanical design. Shame the user of it has a ridiculous obsession with condiments but then again, he doesn’t call himself the Condiment King for nothing. I was quite fortunate with how I was able to deal with him this time around, nothing made onto the suit much to Alfred’s relief no doubt but some mustard managed to make it onto my cape. Hardly the end of the word really, but I would have preferred none of the stuff made it on me at all.
Bullock handcuffs Standler despite the fact that I already had him in handcuffs and returns my pair to me. Least he’s better than some cops. Apparently some members of the GCPD do the same but keep the handcuffs for themselves so they can show off to their friends and families. Maybe if they focused more on collecting the criminals I leave them rather than the blasted handcuffs the pretty crooks would actually make it to the GCPD. With my cape coated in mustard I decide to call it a night, it’s 4:56am and sunrise is in less than 90 minutes so no-one in their right mind will be out to cause trouble now as they’ll soon lose the cover of night. I signal the batmobile and detach my cape placing it in the rear of the car to stop the cockpit smelling of mustard again. Took a whole week to get rid of the smell last time and I’m keen to avoid it happening again.
In a matter of minutes I make it back to the cave and as the Batmobile powers down I remove my cape and cowl as I make my way towards the suit vault to clean my mustard covered cape. I place my cowl on the stand next to the security scanner to access the vault before hearing the familiar sound of Alfred’s voice calling to me.
“Master Bruce?”
“It’s me Alfred. Just depositing my suit in the vault.”
“The vault? I take it you were unsuccessful at avoiding Mr. Standler’s attacks?”
“More successful than previous confrontations with him. I was able to avoid his attacks for the most part. My cape not so much.”
“Oh joy. That’ll be hard to get out.”
“Indeed. I was about to go for a shower. What’s the status of the city wide Lazarus scan?”
“Well there’s been a development that I think you’ll be interested to know.”
“What sort of development?”
