"The Royal Concertgebouw (Dutch: Koninklijk Concertgebouw, pronounced [ˌkoːnɪnklək kɔnˈsɛrtxəbʌu]) is a concert hall in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Dutch term "concertgebouw" translates into English as "concert building". Its superb acoustics place it among the finest concert halls in the world, along with Boston's Symphony Hall[2][3] and the Musikverein in Vienna.[4][5]
In celebration of the building's 125th anniversary, Queen Beatrix bestowed the royal title "Koninklijk" upon the building on 11 April 2013, as she had on the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra upon its 100th in 1988.[6] "

Grade ll listed and built in 1773 as The Countess of Huntingdon's Church.....Lady Selina Hastings.
In his book Worcestershire, Nikolaus Pevsner describes Huntingdon Hall as "an odd plan... a three-bay chapel with a hipped roof and behind it, transversely, a large oblong part apsed at both ends."
In 1980 the chapel was purchased by Worcester City Council following an unsuccessful application by its owner for its demolition. It was then handed over to the City of Worcester Preservation Trust Ltd for repair and conversion to a concert hall. Today it remains as a concert venue and known as Huntingdon Hall.

I've been collecting some of LEGO's old red windows for some time now, and I finally gathered enough of the small ones to use in a Micropolis build. I came up with this stepped-roofed creation called the Civic Theatre, which is a popular venue for a night out to watch a play or listen to a band. The sign above the doors indicates there is a musical being staged this week, and rumour has it that all the performances are sold out! Ref: D1645-017

During my undergraduate college years, most of my classes of Physical Education were situated here. Also, most of the university's (and per college's) big events and concerts are always held here at Ugnayang La Salle (or ULS as we call it.)
ABOUT UGNAYANG LA SALLE
(Quoted from www.dlsud.edu.ph/facilities/uls.htm)
"The Ugnayang La Salle is the biggest sports and event venue in De La Salle University-Dasmariñas where concerts, conferences, general assembles and commencement activities are typically held. The fully-airconditioned facility has a large seating capacity and can accommodate different set ups depending on the need.
Ugnayang La Salle, formerly Palaruang La Salle (PLS), has three courts which could be used for basketball (2), volleyball (2) and badminton(1). The courts' collegiate, amateur specifications abide by the FIBA criterion, the governing body of amateur basketball. There are digital scoring boards mounted in the corners which viewers could see from the bleachers at the parallel ends of the gym. Other facilities include a table tennis area at the mezzanine floors, a multi-purpose room for some indoor sports, a dancing room, four shower areas/ comfort rooms, plus common dressing rooms that could accommodate one class, and lockers. A stage intended for events could be found at the center of the gymnasium."

Not the most interesting Foster + Partners building in my opinion, but the structure does have a certain elegance. I didn't get to see it at night but I imagine it looks more exciting when in use and the building glows from within.

From Wikipedia : "The distinctive elliptical sloping shape of The SSE Hydro was inspired by ancient Greek and Roman Amphitheaters. This shape offers the optimum balance of viewing angle and distance from the stage. The unique facade of the SSE Hydro, made up of pneumatic translucent cushions, has been made possible by using a special film originally developed for the space industry. This will allow natural light to illuminate the foyers during the day and the arena to ‘glow’ at night. "
