Watching sunrise painting the sky in beautiful hues creating a breathtaking backdrop, from a long wooden pier stretching out over the tranquil waters.

A pier can be seen as a threshold between the known and the unknown or a place of reflection and contemplation where we can leave behind the past and embark on a new adventure.

From the Greek words chion which translates to snow and doxa meaning glory, Glory-in-the-Snow is an early spring blooming bulb with star-shaped blue-purple flowers. Swiss botanist Pierre Edmond Boissier honored his wife Lucille. They bloom February to March and the foliage dies down by late spring to early summer.

A creative vignetting touch intentionally added to evoke a sense of nostalgia.

The term comes from the French word 'vignette,' which originally referred to a small, decorative design or drawing on a book page.
