My cute little grandguy had his turn at playing goalie yesterday. He did fine, and his team won.
I prefer the b&w version.
BTW, the texture that you see comes from shooting through the netting (there to stop the puck from injuring the spectators)

When Winter Storm Cora blew through the south this weekend, all it brought us was some rain and lots of cold weather. Other areas got hit with snow and ice, so I guess we got lucky.
Due to all the rain, I had to forego putting out the Goodie Bowls, and just pour the treats in the ground. Nothing worse that a Goodie Bowl full of water and soggy treats inside!
This squirrel was quite happy with the arrangement, and showed up to fill that belly before the rain started!

With this image I was really looking to expand the composition of my images and didn't want all of them to have the same framing and distance from the model so I went in close. I used glitter and a fish tank light from my house. The lighting was a struggle since it was rather dim but i worked a lot with it until I could get it illuminated correctly.
Bear with me, just a few more Snowy Owl pics. The birds will soon be headed north and we can all go back to shooting blackbirds and sparrows...
BTW - Snowy #46 this year.
A pair of Eastern Reef Egrets focus their concentration on the water below them in the hope of breakfast.
She watched a dripping tap that we set up for her as she was spending half her day in the bathroom basin catching drips , she couldn't seem to get to grip with the fact that if she puts her head under the tap to catch the drip she would get wet............
