White Hmong women near Dong Van.
The Hmong (Mong) are concentrated in Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Lai Chau, Son La, Cao Bang and Nghe An provinces.
Each lineage lives within a group setting. The head of the village assumes the common affairs for the lineage. Young Hmong men and women are free to choose their partners. Marriages are absolutely forbidden between men and women of the same lineage. Matrimonial life of the Hmong is very harmonious and divorce is very rare.
Hmong language belongs to the Hmong-Dao Group.
The Traditional Tet (New Year's Day) of the Hmong is organized every December or January. They refrain from eating green vegetables during the three days of the Tet Holiday. The musical instruments of the Hmong include various kinds of "khen" (pan-pipes) and lip organs. After a hard working day and to celebrate spring, the young men and women often play "khen" and lip organs to express their feelings for their partners.
The Hmong make their clothes from linen. Women's attire consists of a skirt, a blouse that opens at the front and has embroidery on the back, an apron to cover the skirt at the front, and leggings.
The Hmong live mainly on slash-and-burn cultivation. They also grow rice and corn on terraced
fields. Their principal food plants are corn, rice, and rye. Apart from these crops, they also grow medicinal plants and linen plants to supply the fibers for cloth weaving.
Blue Swimmer Crabs - baked roe
The baked roe was even more tasty with the flavours concentrated after baking!

We decided to have blue swimmer crab congee for dinner one night, so I got a couple of fresh blue swimmer crabs from the Queen Vic Market for around AUD7 (AUD15.99/kg), and a Golden Bream (AUD13.99/kg) for later.
As it turns out, the blue swimmer crabs were really fresh! They smelt briney like the sea, with not even the faintest whiff of ammonia or fishiness. I tasted some of the raw roe and it was fantastic! Not as rich as the kani miso I had in Japan, but very tasty nonetheless. I also tried some of the raw flesh and that was tasty too and it just seemed to melt in your mouth, but not that tasty. Perhaps that's why you never find raw crab on the menu in Japan, always cooked or grilled.
I removed the gills, broke them in half, and into the pot of congee. The shells went under the grill.
The resulting congee was very tasty, but the flesh of the crab was tastier still!

Boss is very concentrated waiting for his prey.
I've been waiting for the snow, but the temperature is very high (11°C/51.8°F) and there is only mud. Foggy days and no nice sceneries.

Concentrated detergent tablets for dishwashers contain strong caustic compounds that are poisonous if swallowed. Unfortunately bright colours make them irresistible to children. Please keep out of reach.
Moose are most heavily concentrated in Grand Teton Park. Look for them at Willow Flats, Christian Pond (near Willow Flats) and around Oxbow Bend.

Democracy in Venezuela is about to die, It has slowly been eroded for 9 years by a government that was elected by popular vote. But has systematically concentrated power on the president and discriminated opposers.
In Venezuela you can no longer think differently from the official view.
Those of us who oppose the regime are criminalized, many journalists have had to go on exile, there are political prisoners that have been for years in trails or processes that don’t go anywhere, some opposition political figures are in liberty but under constant harassment by the executive and judicial. Anyone who opposes can expect insults and defamation by the highest government officials and violence from its followers.
But the Venezuelan democracy will die on December 2, if a proposed constitutional reform is approved.
President Hugo Chavez, has design a constitutional reform that will modify 69 articles of the current constitution. A reform that is unconstitutional itself, because it changes the basic principles of the constitution and the definition of the Venezuelan State, which is in direct violation of itself, according to it modification of basic principles can’t be modified with a reform (Art 342), a Constitutional Assembly has to be convoked instead, to make a new constitution via vote.
The illegitimacy of the reform, if approved, is far from the only concern. The state will be defined as Socialist, and the exercise of the means of democratic participation like vote and participation on public office will have to be for the construction of socialism, making illegitimate any action by people of different political views, destroying political pluralism. In violation of the Human Rights (proposed art. 16, 70) (Violation of the art. 21 and 32 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights), and Chavez could reelect himself indefinitely.

I was very glad to be able to capture this one as its probably the last one of the season as the harvest draws to a close (indeed this circle was in a field surrounded by other fields that have already been cleared)

For those unfamiliar with crop circles, they are patterns created by flattening a crop usually a cereal. The term was first coined in the early 1980s. Although obscure natural causes or alien origins of crop circles have been suggested by fringe theorists, there is no scientific evidence for such explanations, and all crop circles are consistent with human-made items (although with the more elaborate ones, its not always possible to see how!)
Although such formations have appeared worldwide, south-west England is considered without doubt to be the “world capital” of crop circles. They are particularly concentrated in the county of Wiltshire, where a treasure trove of ancient history includes the Neolithic sites of Stonehenge and Avebury – both crop circle hotspots. There have been 380 crop circles recorded in the county alone since 2005

It is a well-known resident of the greater London area, roosting communally in large flocks. The population has been increasing steadily, though it remains concentrated in south-east England.
