16-bit Laptop-Computer von 1987 mit 1 MB RAM.

New bedroom setup. The tower doesn't look as nice, but the whole thing just works better.

As you can see it is not exactly "stealth". I need to do some work on making it look more pleasing to the eye.

I had to share this photo. I had the idea to try copper gas tubing as a radiator. I didn't want to go through the trouble of making it look pretty until I knew that it worked. I purchased about 20 feet of small copper tubing from a local hardware store. I used a small 15 watt submerged aquarium pump to move the oil through the tubing and back into the aquarium. It helped, but only very slightly. The copper tubing became quite hot when the computer was under load. In the end, it was not effective enough and the 3/8" diameter of the tubing proved to be too narrow.

Video streaming can be done through any kind of computer, but when you are using torrents, PC's can be more apt to getting viruses.

Jan 05 Today I got to watch a scary blue screen as my computer scanned for memory errors (there were none) so I could maybe get my Blu-Ray SOFTWARE to function properly. No dice as of yet! I did the scan ON PURPOSE, and there were no problems with Windows, before anybody gets too excited. Emily and I also went to dinner with Rachel Felipe and the commies for Rachel's birthday. Fun time!

Facebook donated 60 Apple MacBook Pro computers to Fort Worth community centers this week.

The donation will outfit each of Fort Worth’s 20 community center computer labs with three Apple computers for public use. They provide access to technology and complement existing amenities and programming at the centers.

“These laptops will give Fort Worth’s youth, teens, adults and seniors additional access to technology and online resources,” Mayor Betsy Price said. “Our community centers do a great job of creating programs and special interest classes, such as a technology class for seniors and utilizing online learning resources for our children. I’m so grateful for the strong community involvement from companies, like Facebook, with operations in Fort Worth.”

Andrea Puente, site coordinator at Facebook’s Fort Worth data center, said: “Facebook’s mission is make the world more open and connected. Our hope is that these laptops provide opportunities to learn more about technology, to discover more about our hometown of Fort Worth and the world around us, and to connect community members with the things that matter to them.”

My old computer's heat sink and fan are completely clogged after running continuously for several years. Did I mention that I own cats?

Since I can never leave a computer case alone, I decided to draw on the OEM RB53 VAIO case. While the original computer resides in another case, this one is still used for older computers. YRY RX-78-2 MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM.

You know when you're leaving Disneyland on Main Street and you are swept into one of the many gift stores to find that perfect momento from your perfect day? I found precious Minnie Mouse at her computer and it spoke to me. At the time I was an IT Manager and I really loved that job which lasted 15 years until CORPORATE TAKEOVER screwed everyone including IT staff and users alike.

I am not bitter. I am stating the facts. I'd be interested on the demographics info on this particular figurine. How many did they sell, who bought it, when did they buy it and how many recipients still treasure it. I proudly had it on my desk because I found it adorable and I identified with it, as crazy and nerdy as that it.
