This images is a unique stock photo that shows learning technology with independence between an elder and younger adult. This image is being used as a notable example of positive stock imaging within a larger project (Aging with Technology) with the purpose of reconsidering current representations of older adults using technology in the media. Other positive representations may exist on paid stock image databases, but images were only sourced on free stock image websites for this project. My computer setup isn't much different from last year, but what is new is that little integrated component system on the right. It has an FM radio, a phonograph, and dual deck cassette, and I have that connected to Jasper via LineIn on the Crystal SoundFusion sound card. My TV audio is daisy chained into the component system via it's auxillary input jacks on the rear.
ste is a mate of mind who knows is stuff when it comes to computers you may see im in forums or on games usal as drste05
Here is the oil cooler, oil filter, and 15 watt submerged pump hooked up and functioning. This setup lowered my temps by a good 6 - 7 degrees Celsius. My computer is now running at a pretty constant 50 - 56 degrees Celsius depending on the outside temperature (remember, I'm running this in the middle of the Caribbean in the dead of summer with no climate control). When the computer is under load, the CPU and GPU spike up to about 71 degrees Celsius, however the oil temps do not seem to travel above 56 degrees Celsius. I have not been brave enough to attempt sustained peak tests (only several hours of video games). My motherboard firmware is set to power down at 70 degrees Celsius. I have yet to reach anything near that.
There are many things in the cellar under our school. Art-work, sculptures, old computers that we do up, graffiti, junk that is no longer used, things kept in storage... this is just a small selection of things down there. All photos taken with my phone.

Shiny Computers (2,070 square feet)

This was originally an nTelos Wireless, which opened in 2008.
I was in the midst of installing a new fan in my computer, with wires and guts pulled out and my video card balanced precariously on the rim of the case for lack of a safe place to put it down. I looked down at the reflective copper plate of the fan after putting the silver compound on it and realized that it looked like a spider web, and the "feet" of the fan like a spider. Snapped the photo, thought it looked rather cool.
Stuck all day inside the library with just a few customers and nothing really happening. I could have fallen asleep out of boredom!
Only the computer did though...

I cobbled together a shelf from available scrap and supplies that were around the house. The shelf is invisible from above and the computer sits nicely on it.
The shelf was made from ¼" mahogany scrap plywood that was glued together with "Gorilla" glue, then was glued to the bottom of the desk with that same type of glue.
These are all the computers owned by my immediate family (parents, sisters, brother and me).
They were all together for about a couple weeks before and after my brother's wedding in August 2006 and the night before he left to go back to school, Chennette and I rushed to take some pictures of the last time they might ever be all together again.
Maybe hers came out better.
Ignore my messy room. There were about 10 people in the house then so...who had time?
These are the backs of the five laptops.
