Introducing Jackie and Malcolm.

During 2020 and 2021 I started a 100 Strangers in Suffolk Project . I met up with a 100 strangers but my computer died and I lost the records for 95 to 100! So I recently started to do a few more street portraits and I was joined by Janice Ward another street photographer.

Jackie and Malcolm were enjoying some late summer sunshine on a park bench in the Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds. They were happy to have a few photos taken as they enjoyed an ice cream from the nearby park cafe.

The couple have been married for 43 years and live in Stowmarket Suffolk. Jackie told me that they had a honeymoon in Great Yarmouth on the Norfolk coast. They married on a lovely spring day in March. Jackie was keen to point out that Malcolm was a very wooden dancer on the honeymoon!.

They both worked at the Elmswell Suffolk Bacon factory . Malcolm worked there for 47 years before his retirement and the closure of the factory.

They are both keen followers of Stowmarket Town FC their local football team.

A really wonderful couple!
