Adding a hole for cables to connect with the computer below reduces the clutter on the deck. The solid maple is beautiful with its 4 coats of cherry stain. The satn feel to the deck and bull-nosed edge makes it beautiful and comfortable to work on.

An ancient 200MHz Pentium-clone PC. Was the first computer I installed Linux on. (Way back then I used Slackware. I've gone through several distributions over the years and now use Ubuntu.) Thus it was also my first computer with a name. Nargothrond is a city in J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Silmarillion', and this would establish my future computer naming scheme.
I intended to gut this computer for parts for Gondolin, but only the cdrom was compatible.
