A piece from a recent A-level art project, entitled structure. Using photoshop I drew my parents here, adding extra lines to highlight the structure of their faces.

The case LEDs are dramatic in a dark room.

Put it together all by myself, yay. It was a pain in the ass - WAY more complex than anything I've done from IKEA. It has adjustible EVERYTHING. You can adjust the hinges on the CPU compartment door so it lines up. YOu can adjust the runners on the drawers so THEY line up. Yeesh! I'm glad it's done. It's pretty spiffy.

This is a picture of a laptop keyboard that was sitting on my desk that happened to have fallen victim at my attempt of creative photography.

When my Raspberry Pi arrived last week, my first impression was just how small it was. Yes, I'd seen the photos and video clips, but it doesn't really prepare you for seeing and holding a real Pi - it's tiny, about the size of a credit card... and this is a functioning computer!

I've placed it here on top of my Eee 701SD netbook, which is no hulking beast of a computer itself :-)

Now this must be a cool shop... and safe... hopefully. Only in Sprinkbok land - this is Africa, we're on the wild side!

50th Anniversary for the Department of Computer Science

My last desktop was purchased in November of 2002, so it was time for a new one.

I'm still without internet, so my computer seems somewhat useless. Decided to go through my old documents and organize instead of unpacking.

Time for a re-wire or maybe a re-fit. With to much information, your mother begins to look grim. Do the washing, ironing or cook. Share the load. Ease the pain. Don't be surprised when she overloads. RAHall 2012

One of IEs many computer labs

The two computers in the background are mine. My PC and the iBook. The computer in the foreground is the brand new MacBook that I was installing software on for a family member.

This "data package" was the computer in the Mercury-Redstone blockhouse at Cape Canaveral. The plaque next to it points out that each of the wires on this core is one word of the instructions. If the wire passed through a core it was a binary "1" if it did not pass through the core it was a "0". This is how instructions were passed to the rocket. Each wire was hand strung and this was only one of many panels of instructions. A picture in the blockhouse showed women stringing wires on a large number of panels. It functions the same as the operating system in a modern computer.

This Corsair 650 watt power supply is probably overkill, but better safe than sorry. It turned out to have way more plugs than I needed.

I am writing a story where this silly girl in a red hood gets lost in the woods on her way to Granny's place. Lucky for her she runs across a beautiful and charming wolfdog that gets her back on the right path.

Floor plans call this room, once-part of the lobby, a "computer learning center". The decorative trim around the edges of the ceiling was replicated from the surviving plaster in the lobby. Not sure what's going-on with the windows; finishing-touches were still being worked on at the time of visit.
