was thinking "why not" and decided to build a computer. took a day and a half. using 10 year old monitor and speakers (old gateway)and a 21 year old keyboard (google ibm model m) from and OLD IBM of ours
The two computers I use in work. Luckily I got to pick the spec for the work PC (Dell OptiPlex, 4GB Ram, 3.3Ghz processor, Core 2 Duo, 23" monitor).
he travelled all this way to buy a computer ignore his sister, and play games. he's even (shock horror) turned down the world of hot yoga to stay and play!
he only he knew what he'd be missing..
edit: he came to hot yoga. at 7am in the morning :)
Here I was sitting at my computer, minding my own business, when through the porch venetian blind I watch a northbounder roll past. I'm looking into the sun, but I can can see the sihouettes of one locomotive after another as it rolls by.
So, I decided to chase it to Concord, and I am glad I did because with the setting sun in my eyes, I did not see the Santa Fe Bluebonnet SD40-2, or the Cascade Green SD40-2 still wearing the BN logo on its nose(!), plus a GP50, a GP39-3 and the assortment of widecabs.
I then chased it to Newby to double dip a sunset shot, where I found out it was going to take the siding for a sb aggregate. So, I was treated to a triple scoop when it pulled the siding AND did a 6.6 in front of me.
Count 'em - 8 locomotives!
The railfan gods took pity on my recent lack of interest in railfanning.
