Many shop fires are caused from air compressor motors sparking when the start up. I have designed this room that will be completely incased in 2in foam to help with noise control, then covered floor to ceiling with slate (just not on the ceiling.

GEA ammonia compressors in the machinery room

The compressor is on the left; the horizontal cylinder shaped thing is the power reverse.

These came in various sizes and models.

On display at the Lakeland Motor Museum, Backbarrow, Cumbria.

Gnatus Air Compressor 1 HP - Bioqualy Air 32L can be easily used for running suction and air rotor.
