A demonstration garden isn't nearly as effective, without good signage. The OSU Extension Master Gardener Program in Wasco County, OR collaborated with their local waste disposal company to make and place signs that described various composting displays.

What a lovely day to be out selling Compost Bins, Waterbutts & Wormeries.

Revealing countless red wigglers and earth worms among many other bugs.

I know that there are folks who don't like to think about things like manure and compost. I think it's a beautiful thing. Not only is the science of what is going on fascinating, I think it's just inherently cool.

For a small and relatively bare garden, it is amazing how quickly the bin is getting filled up!

We decided we wanted to compost, but also be thrifty. This is our compost bin designed out of completely free pallets that we just scrounged around for (if you want pallets, trust me people, you can find them).

Stumble Inn is an eco-village outside Elmina. You sleep in huts with outside showers and compost toilets, it's right on the beach and everyone is really friendly. Its fab!

Compost heaps before digging over. I have now been told that grass cuttings don't compost well for vegetable growing. I'm not sure if this is true, does anyone know?
