Time, gravity and excess sun exposure can cause deepening of facial lines and uneven pigmentation. This gives an older, tired look to an otherwise youthful complexion. Laser skin resurfacing can reduce, and often remove, much of this damage to the skin and literally "turn back the clock". The message on the back of the card was as follows:
"What do you think of us

So what else happened on the day that the card was posted?
Well, on the 19th. January 1906, the Clubhouse of the McCormick Harvester Works in Chicago was formally opened with much ceremony.
The three-storey red brick building cost $50,000 to build, and was equipped with many modern conveniences.

Before the boys' Prom. My boyfriend David posing a bit. He is a bit handsome :). I feel that this is something that you should be seeing from the Oscars or such like.
At Takayama, Japan, this is one of a group of lifesize puppets which perform on a huge, ornate wagon which is pulled through the streets during an annual festival. It causes me to reflect on the sort of bizzarre propensity many cultures around the world for idolizing white skin as some kind of ultimate standard for feminine beauty. With the Japanese geisha, this is carried to an extreme, but all across Asia, you find lovely dark complexioned ladies spending millions on elaborate skin whitening concoctions, while in the West, many of our pale skinned maidens are obsessed with tanning!
