The official day of my completion of Bachelor Degree, and it is the same day of the historical S.D. County Massive Blackout.
37 students cross the stage in the Celebration of Completion as they receive their degrees' from Baldwin Wallace University in the John Patrick Theatre at the Kleist Center for Art & Drama.
The downside that I was aware of was that using short fur, like Minky, gluing it down means you can see the seams very well. Of course, as I said, at the time, I didn't have any other choice.
This is the central portion of the painting with added paint , collage and splatter effects.

Completion Ceremony of the Main Works of the Expansion Project of the LegCo Complex (8.5.2025)
The main lobby was restored to the original layout as designed by the initial architect. Over the course of its history, the lobby has undergone many renovations, including dividing the lofted entry in half to add another floor of rooms. Extensive controlled demolition and structural rework returned it to its earliest construction.

This is still a work in progress and I'm not putting pressure on myself to finish it as it is a deeply moving drawing for me.
Born through the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic and some incredibly strange times. This also spans my move back home to the place to be..... Brighton and Hove!.
I have very fond memories of this building where my Dad used to work as a legal executive for the London Fire Brigade (LFCDA). I used to meet him during school holidays for lunch in the canteen which is now the London Sea Life Centre.
We're in June now and I'm telling myself off for taking my foot off the the art pedal. However, I'm being kind to myself in not rushing. We've all had a much needed fabulous taste of a slower pace of life during lockdown.
Hopefully a positive legacy that will stay with us all above and beyond the grief many have suffered.
I am determined to finish this soon though😁 watch this space...

Day 4 - most of face complete and happy with the very short hair on nose bridge which is difficult to get right and important as a focal point.
End of 11 years of waiting for completion on stuff surrounding my Mum's passing and will. Now all done and finalized. No more crap from relatives and silly games. Had two glasses out of that bottle to celebrate last night. What a release of tension and stress. Amazing feeling.
