All the reds and deep pink are complementary to green and the different yellows complement the purples so well!

This is a Bougainville that I have been keeping alive in Albuquerque in a friend’s green house in the winter months. I have lived in the Phoenix valley area and really appreciate the beauty and size that Bougainvilles achieve while surviving the winter months. It has its down side since it produces thorns that can be harmful especially to unaware small children. Nevertheless it is quite a beautiful red and green flowering plant.

Sometimes, in my work as an optician, I get to create glasses that have that little something extra. Like this one. The customer came to me with this frame and wanted orange prescription lenses. So, that's what we did; Wow!
