As of yesterday, Deadly Premonition has made it's way onto the PC. My only complaint pertains to it's "supposed" compatibility with a gamepad. I remain uncertain onto whether or not the problem with the gamepad's malfunction is on an exclusive level OR if others are facing this problem as well.
The keyboard provides an interesting take on the game's mechanics; but, Deadly Premonition just doesn't feel the same without a gamepad. To start, driving has certainly become awkward and will take A LOT of getting used to. Despite the precision of a mouse, the game's tendency to provide enemies that require five to eight shots (more or less) makes the combat very tedious. Heavy use of the SPACEBAR to auto-aim at an enemy's torso, feels a bit uncomfortable. Lastly, despite the game's stiff motion control, the mouse is heavily depended on to accommodate the camera view. This feature can feel as if it were a double-edged sword. Being able to maneuver the camera view toward a desired direction with a simple flick of the wrist is a satisfying privileged, but it doesn't quite conciliate the nightmarish driving sequences that will be provided later in the game. The driving is conceivable, but some familiarization is indeed required. I can't help but feel that with an inadequate mastery of the game's camera view mechanic, this is going to be a problem in the event that the player is surrounded by multiple enemies (eg. Cope's Tunnel).
Some clever cross-device calendar sharing compatibility. It turns out you can transfer a google calendar from any android phone onto *any* digital camera. Simply hold the two devices near to each other and ....somehow it gets transferred. I can't remember the details, but it's pretty clever.

Through Peter Zumthors text, i was interested how he spoke about material compatibility and light. He talks about, using a material in different ways and something different will appear each time. " There are thousand of possibilties in one material alone..." He then mentions the weight of material " materials react to one another..."
In the section of the reading "The light of things" he mentions how light falls and then you start to see shadows form. And when a light touches a surface it begins to create their own depth. "Way the surfaces were dull or sparkled..." This is something that i would want to explore the way material can be used in different ways - projecting a material using light onto a contrasting surface was my main idea.
