Compass Bus' presence in Brighton has been diminished following the loss of Brighton & Hove Council tendered services to the Big Lemon but they do continue to operate the 37/37B. Enviro 200 GX62 CKP is seen in Eastern Road yesterday, 1st November, 2017.

The days of the building in the background,which must have featured in countless bus photos over the past few years,look to be limited. I didn't see a bowler hatted official carrying a Preservation Order today,but nothing would surprise me,in Guildford. it's early days for that sort of thing !
Sometimes, when asked what I do for BT, I reply "they think I'm their Chief Web Services Architect when in fact I'm their self-appointed moral compass for the Web". In terms of the diagram, I've pushed all things good to the left of the diagram and things not so good at the right. I strongly believe good things lead to progress. I'll concede, I do tend to see things in black and white, like the drawing, though here it's primarily a device to promote discussion.

This pub at the end of Chapel Market has reopened as a gastropub. It was rather nice, but has since reopened as Hundred Crows Rising and again as The Joker of Penton Street, then Night & Day, then The Hicce Hart, and now The Chapel Market Tavern. (Photo of it as The Salmon & Compass in 2008.)

There seem to be tons of compass roses in NYC parks. This is something of which I aprove whole-heartedly. This nice example is just inside the entrance to McGolrick Park.
My attempt at getting some better compass plant flower images didn't work out so well, but a bit of a crop revealed an ant exploring one of the flowers.... My best ID guess is black carpenter ant: bugguide.net/node/view/151636.

Taken from the passenger seat in my friends car. The Mazda sat nav works from a SD card. When you eject the card you get a compass.

Compass Bus took over service 32 on 1st June 2015, following a Surrey CC tendering process sparked by previous operator Arriva's decision the route's financial performance was not good enough.
Compass took over the service with four new Enviro200s, a contrast to Arriva where any of the fleet could turn up.
The last Arriva journey was worked by their Enviro 3990. It was meant to be 3109, but it broke down at Redhill.
When Compass started, only three Enviros had arrived, so a StreetLite was used to make up the fourth bus. On this day, one had made it back onto the route. MK63 WZX is seen here, now arriving at the stop in South Street.
