A very polite bird joined me in an outdoor cafe in Oslo, Norway. He/She patiently waited for my meal to be shared. So very well attired, expertly groomed!
One of our local party of 3 couples who joined the bus tour of the Western Wonders together; showing Red, White, and Blue at sunset on the rim of Bryce Canyon, during the farewell dinner at the end of the trip.

[https://www.flickr.com/photos/100121190@N06] has pointed in the comments that it resembles Jabberwocky. That may well be true (or not, couldn’t trace the origin and names). Anyway, the Jabberwock is now with his companions, the dog and the Ripper. Interesting and weird metal sculptures close to Lansdown Golf Course fields. Not all people might find their dark gothic appearance appealing the setting in the open field where they are offers many photo opportunities. They are well made from a rusty scrap metal by the artist David Michael Morse (1943-2016). Lansdown, near Bath. Banes, England, U.K.

Finally got round to tidying all of my photography folders dating back to November last year. Whilst I don't like to revisit older shots I found myself dwelling on the Ayanna Witter-Johnson gig captures from last year.
It was a superb night despite just about every single photography condition being against me. Luckily the lady herself was mesmorising so it inspired me to get on with the job and focus on the things in my control. The result was a crazy amount of expressive live moments. Even the high ISO worked well.
A companion shot to one I've already posted the venue was basically purple as was Ayanna's jump suit. I've tried to keep the spirit of this reducing the saturation and playing with the colour swatch.

Candid eye contact street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. A close-up 24mm shot, as close as I could to keep her all in frame and a lovely reaction from her. I usually shoot at the 70mm end of my standard zoom lens because I prefer the results and I like to focus on 'character' in my shots. Just in case anyone thought that I wasn't versatile or capable of other kinds of shots though, nobody likes a critic when the criticism is unfounded. Enjoy!

Film: 35mm Big Brother 640 Surveillance Film (expired 2001), ISO 640, from Lance Rothstein's Labeauratoire shop, developed in Arista Liquid Developer (1+9) for 7:40 minutes @ 69 degrees (like Fomapan 400), and scanned with an Epson V600 scanner.

Going through my archives I was looking at this photo and remembering my gorgeous Bedlington Terrier named Dolly.
Dolly was the oldest dog i had, living till she was eighteen. This was taken using a Nikon d70s which are practically if not actually obsolete now. I still had the original NEF file and put it in camera raw on auto just now with nothing else not a levels or curves or sharpening. My son still uses this camera and I find the only real drawback the tiny LCD back screen

The burnet companion is a day-flying moth found on a range of grasslands, from flower-filled meadows to verges and woodland rides. It is often found flying alongside butterflies and other day-flying moths (especially the dingy skipper butterfly and Mother Shipton moth), occasionally including burnet moths - hence the name, burnet companion.
South Anston - I saw 3 or 4 of these in the meadow this morning - looking in my new Moth field guide I think it's a Burnet Companion.
