The Méhari was available in a limited amount of colours: only eight different ones. This Méhari is delivered in Vert Montana, introduced in 1968, and used till the end in 1987.

A 4x4 version was introduced in May 1979. Built till June 1983, only 1500 items were sold, which makes it a rare Méhari today.

Design contributions were done by Roland de la Poype (Fr., 1920-2012).

Not so sure why, but this looks like a strong photograph to me. Is it because of the compression at 300mm that give the impression of a really tight group of players ? Anyways, I hope you'll like it too.

Based on true story...

I'm guessing they service small cars only. On Gerrard street east of Main. The exterior is coloured about the same as well chewed grape gum; and in fact it looks like it might be made from the stuff.

This monochrome photograph showcases a collection of seashells arranged artistically against a dark background. The black and white tones emphasize the textures and patterns of the shells, highlighting their spiraling forms and the intricate lines that trace the growth of each shell.

The shells vary in size and shape, with some featuring elongated spires and others displaying more rounded, compact forms. Their placement in the composition seems intentional, creating a balance between the various shapes and directing the eye across the image. The play of light and shadow is masterfully captured, with the light source coming from the side, casting deep shadows and enhancing the three-dimensional quality of the shells.

The choice of black and white photography strips away the distraction of color, allowing the viewer to focus on the forms, lines, and textures that make each shell unique. The arrangement evokes a sense of natural symmetry and beauty, often found in objects sculpted by the sea. The overall effect is one of elegance and quiet beauty, inviting reflection on the wonders of the natural world.

I just happened to look down and see this one, Sea Foam Green leaf sitting on a pile of brown leaves and then a shaft of light hit the leaf. A minute later, if that, the light was gone.

Just finished Dead Space and Dead Space 2, it was AWESOME! Very liked it, now it's my second favorite franchise after Mass Effect. Scary in some moments, but still dynamic and awesome. Cant wait for DS3.

And I hope the Severed DLC will port on PC.

Comments and fan-emotions from Dead Space would be cool.

P.S.: Which moment in DS2 was most *SCARY!1* for you? For me it was a sun on a school scene. I shoot it off from it's place (nervous, yup) and killed 2 monsters with it and with *WAAAAAAAGH* :3

Canning Dock

Opened in 1737 as the Dry Dock, a protected tidal basin providing an entrance to Old Dock.

In 1832, it was officially named Canning Dock after the Liverpool MP George Canning.

The dock would have initially served ships involved in the trans-Atlantic slave trade.

Abandoned as a commercial shipping facility in 1972 due to falling traffic and the rising cost of dredging.

Restored in 1983, providing access to the Canning Graving Docks, which are part of the Merseyside Maritime Museum.

Daffodil

Former Mersey Ferry MV Overchurch, later Royal Daffodil, now the floating restaurant/bar Daffodil.

As Overchurch, the ship was built by Cammell Laird for Birkenhead Corporation in 1962 to operate the Birkenhead to Liverpool Ferry Service.

Following the creation of the Merseyside Passenger Transport Executive, both Birkenhead and Wallasey Ferries were merged to form Mersey Ferries.

Overchurch was extensively rebuilt at Manchester Dry Docks in 1999 and renamed Royal Daffodil.

The rebuild was intended to make the vessel suitable for coastal cruises to Llandudno Pier; however, these trips did not materialise, and she remained in service on the River Mersey.

Withdrawn from service in 2012, she was laid up at Birkenhead until sold in spring 2019 to Liverpool City Sights Ltd.

An extended period of refubishment followed, in which the ship's engines and machinery were removed to create an event space in the engine room.

In November 2024, the ship was towed to Canning Dock and opened as a floating restaurant in December 2024.

Brocklebank

One of five motor tugs built by W. J. Yarwood & Sons Ltd, Northwich, between 1962 and 1965 for Alexandra Towing Co. Ltd, Liverpool.

Launched in 1964 and completed in February 1965. She was mainly used for ship handling at Liverpool, but had occasional duties at Heysham, Larne and Barrow.

In 1989, she was purchased by Merseyside Maritime Museum.

In November 2025, Brockleban was at Cammell Laird, Birkenhead, for essential restoration to its steel hull.

Restored and on display in Canning Dock from January 2026.

Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in the Trinity Alexander Nevsky (Akatovsky Trinity-Alexandrovsky) monastery - an Orthodox women's stauropegial monastery in the village of Akatovo, Klinsky district, Moscow region.

The monastery was founded as a female community in 1889 by the poor merchant of peasant origin Fedor Osipovich Zakharov in his estate in memory of the abolition of serfdom and in the name of patron saint Alexander II. In 1890, the community was officially registered by the Holy Synod. The management of the community was entrusted to the nun of the Novoalekseevsky monastery of Eutyches.

August 30, 1892 on the day of remembrance of St. Alexander Nevsky stone was laid stone Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. The temple was built in pseudo-Russian style by the architect A. S. Kaminsky for six years.

At the beginning of the 20th century, there were about seventy sisters in the monastery. After 1917, the natives were forced to declare themselves an agricultural commune (artel), which allowed the monastery to exist until 1927. It is known that the persecuted father Varlaam Dmitrovsky took refuge in the monastery for some time.

In 1927 the monastery was closed. Some of the nuns moved to with. Mokrush Istrinsky district. They continued to maintain a statutory lifestyle, to remain in one mind, having only one desire-salvation of the soul.

Services in the church of Alexander Nevsky continued until 1933. On the territory of the former monastery, there was a recreation center of the NKVD and warehouses of this organization.

Since 1948, the pioneer camp "Torch" operated on the territory of the monastery.

In 2000, by decree of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II, the Patriarchal Compound was established at the church of the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky of the former monastery.

In 2007, part of the buildings was officially transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church as the Patriarchal Compound; the monastery complex was assigned to the Zaikonospassky monastery in Moscow and was restored with its active help.

Nikon D3300 - Nikkor 18-140mm f3.5-5.6 DX ED VR

I needed a simple and compact way to mount an L-motor inside a 6-wide train. No space for a vertical mount so I needed a 90 degree gearing.

In the past this was always tricky because of gears running on the studs of a technic plate and the height never really working out. Thanks to the 2x2 round tile with a hole in the middle that's now a lot easier.

My first thought was to put half-beams along the sides of the motor and connect them to the walls of the engine. Then I saw the jumpers I'd used for the M-motor that was previously in the loco and from there it was a small hop to the 2x2 tiles with a pin on top.

The T-piece on top supports the axle going down into the bogie. Using the #8 with stop gave me just enough of the axle to connect the bogie without it accidentally coming out.

It works with both a 1:1 gearing or a 5:3. I haven't done any endurance testing with this setup but initial testing was encouraging.
