I noticed my (slightly beat-up) compact on my windowsill this morning and loved the blue sky it was reflecting.
Jan gave us a CD of rainforest recordings, which has actually done what it was supposed to! It's put us to sleep for more than a couple of nights! Fantastic!

Mounted some of the components on the backside of the board, as I wanted to have it sit on a higher position in the case.
outside the indian restaurant where I've been getting lunch of late. one of the guys who worked there was outside for a smoke break, and gave me a funny look or two as I worked out this shot, but I'm glad I took the time.

Another awsome Sport Compact event at WSID.Loads of cars made the trek from all over Aus to compete.Almost capacity entries on the track & a great selection of hot cars on show.
The presentation standard of Sport Compact drag cars has really amazed me so far this year, with a lot of the top runner track cars looking like prestine show cars with candy pearl paint jobs,tastefull air brushing and graffix and tuff drag spec rims all round. these guys have definatly stepped it up a notch!
Took a whole lot of photo's throughout the day, but unfortunatly forgot my memory backup so was limited to 4G worth of space...Ahhhrr.

The compact crank shifts better than the slickest triple. For those who'd like to extend the bottom range of their current triple, Ben demonstrated the new Shimano 11-34 TEN-speed cluster, introduced last year for tandems mainly, that can be fitted, in conjunction with a mountain bike rear derailleur, to give an even lower granny gear than a 30x27 on a triple.

current problems
- led dims when connecting the CV (remains dim)
- sometimes it only puts out about 10khz which doesnt seem to be affected by the CV
