MANASSAS, Va. (Aug. 9, 2025) Charles J. Our employees collected 3,000 pounds of canned and packaged foods – some they donated themselves and others brought by the public to several recent food drives at PSEG Long Island offices in Nassau and Suffolk counties. During three weeks at the end of October and beginning of November, employees, customers and community members were invited make donations of food and household essentials at Island Harvest drop boxes set up outside our offices, which remain closed to protect public health. Then on Nov. 20, while adhering to social distancing protocols, we helped Island Harvest and Bethpage Federal Credit Union collect an unprecedented 3,157 turkeys, 265 donated by our employees, to be distributed to our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. This is our Patchogue location.

More than 50 legislative staffers visited the 169th Fighter Wing to explore the complex mission and training requirements that our Airmen support at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, South Carolina Air National Guard, Dec. 13, 2023. Guests experienced F-16 fighter jets takeoff up close and learned about the various weapons it can deploy, discovered the skill it takes to work air traffic control, and learned about base safety and security from the fire department and security forces. Visiting with state and federal representatives is critical to operational sustainment and ensuring support for the future of the 169th Fighter Wing and JNGB McEntire. The town of Mocksville raced into the Christmas season with the 5th Annual “Twas the Night Before” Bed Race, and Trailers of the East Coast was well represented, sponsoring two of the 20 race teams who made the mad dash down Main Street.
Our employees collected 3,000 pounds of canned and packaged foods – some they donated themselves and others brought by the public to several recent food drives at PSEG Long Island offices in Nassau and Suffolk counties. During three weeks at the end of October and beginning of November, employees, customers and community members were invited make donations of food and household essentials at Island Harvest drop boxes set up outside our offices, which remain closed to protect public health. Then on Nov. 20, while adhering to social distancing protocols, we helped Island Harvest and Bethpage Federal Credit Union collect an unprecedented 3,157 turkeys, 265 donated by our employees, to be distributed to our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. This is our Patchogue location.

PSEG Long Island celebrated the 150th anniversary of Arbor Day on April 29 by planting trees to beautify public sites in Nassau and Suffolk counties, and by helping customers learn how to lower their energy use, save money and reduce Long Island’s carbon footprint. KOLKATA, INDIA – MARCH 22, 2025: In a heartwarming gesture, a newlywed doctor couple celebrated their two-week wedding milestone by organizing a special lunch for nearly seventy children of migratory Adivasi laborers at Mohan Brickfield near Kolkata, India, on March 22, 2025. The event was attended by relatives, family friends, and the children’s guardians. These laborers, primarily from tribal communities, work at the brickfield for about eight months a year, excluding the monsoon season. The children, aged between two and fifteen, are beneficiaries of a Non-Formal Education system that offers free learning opportunities to those without access to formal schooling. The couple’s celebration brought joy, solidarity, and attention to the importance of education and compassion in community life.

On Friday, September 7th, the Elsie Roy school community said thank you to all their neighbours at a school assembly.

On Friday, Aug. 6, 2021, PSEG Long Island held its third of six summertime food collection drives to help Island Harvest restock its shelves. Called “Power to Feed Long Island,” this initiative is aimed at raising the equivalent of 21,000 meals (for 2021). Dozens of Long Islanders dropped off non-perishable food items, pet food and personal care items at the collection site at Stop & Shop in Massapequa, donating hundreds of meals.
