One of our favorite holiday events -- on Dec. 18 and Dec 19, dozens of PSEG Long Island employees donned their orange "Santa" hats and wrapped gifts for families shopping in the Family Service League/Tri Community & Youth Agency's holiday boutique in Huntington Station. Each parent chose two gifts for each child and we wrapped them up!
Wyoming National Guard soldiers responded to a Feb. 11 request from the governor and Wyoming Homeland Security to mitigate ice-jam induced flooding in Worland and surrounding areas. By Saturday morning, upwards of 50 Guardsmen were working to reinforce berms along the Big Horn River between two overpasses and critical infrastructure near downtown with sandbag-fortified concrete barriers. By Sunday afternoon, with the addition of another 20-man rapid action team (RAT), and as hundreds of community members helped fill sandbags, Guard crews were moving four truckloads of about 200 sandbags an hour out to the berms. Monday, it was determined to dispatch another 20 person RAT team to Worland to help in further operations with sandbags and berms. By 16 Feb., RATs had finished operations in Worland, and Manderson and moved up to Greybull, which is currently under a flood warning. Residents of the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home at Vineland, New Jersey, receive gifts during the Second Winds Dreams event Dec. 21, 2022. This is the 12th year that the Second Wind Dreams Organization and the Vineland Boscov's department store have treated the Home's residents to an early Christmas. Each year, residents write what gift they want on a tag, which is then hung on a Christmas tree in Boscov's. Shoppers and employees chose a tag and purchase the gift, which is wrapped and delivered to the home where Vineland staff members distribute the gifts to the residents. PSEG Long Island employees participate in all aspects of this volunteer effort, Angel Tree" - after buying gifts for more than 100 Angel Tree children, our employees spend a few days sorting the gifts at the Salvation Army's Riverhead office, then we help distribute them to families for their young loved ones.

What is teamv?
Team v is a new programme designed to activate a network of young people leading social action campaigns across England. We're looking for passionate young people aged 18-25 to take three big social issues, translate them into exciting and innovative campaigns, and make real social change happen on the ground. v will give these leaders an inspiring package of training, tools and tactics to recruit their teams of volunteers, lead the campaigns, and measure their success. On completion of the programme, teamv leaders will be entitled to apply for a scholarship to support their onward progression.
PSEG Long Island employees are in the giving spirit -- raising $3,200 to buy gifts for the children of Suburban Housing, Bay Shore’s nonprofit that provides housing and counseling services to low-income families. Two dozen children were treated to a holiday party in our Brentwood office where the 133 gifts were given out.

A group of PSEG Long Island employees recently decked the halls, lobby and dining room of the Northport VA’s community living center just in time for the holidays. Our employees enjoy volunteering for veteran causes.
Every year PSEG Long Island employees sponsor local children enrolled in the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program. This year more than 300 employees made the holiday wishes come true for more than 125 Long Island children whose families would not have been able to afford Christmas gifts.

From July through the end of September, PSEG Long Island is partnering with Island Harvest Food Bank to restock its warehouse shelves with healthy, nutritious meals for Long Island families struggling to put food on their tables. With the help of generous Long Islanders, the Power to Feed Long Island initiative aims to collect the equivalent of 21,000 meals for 2021.
On July 8, 2021 members of PSEG Long Island, including Power to Feed Long Island employee-ambassadors, joined Island Harvest, representatives from partner supermarkets and elected officials to announce the start of this important initiative to support our neighbors challenged with food insecurity.
The food drives will take place on select Fridays at the following Stop & Shop, Stew Leonard’s and King Kullen locations, with contactless drive-thru areas, as well as collection bins, set up from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.:

•July 23 Stew Leonard’s 1897 Front St., East Meadow
•Aug. 6 Stop & Shop 702 Hicksville Rd., Massapequa

As they we do every December, more than 50 PSEG Long Island employees and their family members supported Wreaths Across America this weekend. The group of volunteers honored our war heroes at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton and Long Island National Cemetery in Pinelawn by helping to place tens of thousands of wreaths at the graves of our fallen veterans.

Sunday 15 July 2018 - Fantastic morning today with friends arriving to help us clean the cobbled driveway up to the Cruck Cottage. After over 20 years the cobbles had become virtually invisible with grass and weeds growing over them. Thanks to the community support we received today they are looking GREAT again! We are so grateful for all the help everyone continues to give us in looking after this unique building and its surroundings. You are brilliant! Thank you.
More than a dozen PSEG Long Island employees pitched in on Nov. 13, 2019 to renovate the American Legion Post #1082 in East Meadow as part of a week of community service to honor our veterans.
On Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, PSEG Long Island’announced the results of its Power to Feed Long Island food collection drive campaign. Thanks to the Long Island community, we exceeded our goal, raising the equivalent of 21,944 meals – nearly a thousand more meals than its 21,000-meal objective.
The food was collected in three months through six food drives yieldng 10,106 pounds of food and supplies, plus nearly $2,200 in cash donations, and online donations totaling more than $4,000.
Today, along with representatives from Island Harvest Food Bank, community volunteers and Girl Scouts who contributed to the initiative, the company announced the results.
