Mobile Technology Van—One Economy operates five Mobile Technology Vans. Each van is capable of setting up a mobile training lab complete with tables, chairs, printer, LCD projector with screen, PA system, and media signage (sandwich boards and banners). Each van operates with 10 laptop computers with access to the Internet via MiFi 2200 portable Wi-Fi hot spots. Within one hour, the driver/trainer can set up a fully functioning high-touch, high-tech mobile training lab capable of providing direct training support on topics such as basic computing, Internet safety, wireless network connectivity, income tax preparation and other topics. Each van is assigned to low-income communities in a particular geographic area.

The Fresh Start Scholarship Foundation recently held its graduation ceremony at the CSC in Wilmington, Delaware, celebrating the achievements of its latest cohort of scholars. The event was a testament to the hard work and determination of the graduates, who have overcome various challenges to achieve their educational goals.

 

As the graduates walked across the stage, the room was filled with pride and joy from family, friends, and supporters. The keynote speaker delivered an inspiring message, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and the transformative power of education.

 

The ceremony also highlighted the foundation’s commitment to supporting non-traditional students, particularly women, in their pursuit of higher education. Each graduate received their diploma, symbolizing not just an academic achievement but a fresh start and a step towards a brighter future.

 

The celebration concluded with a reception, where attendees had the opportunity to connect, share their stories, and celebrate the success of the graduates. The Fresh Start Scholarship Foundation continues to make a significant impact in the community, empowering individuals to achieve their dreams through education.

On Monday Dec 6th and Tuesday Dec 7th of the current year. One Economy participated in the Mid Pen Housing Country Hills Community Launch Event at San Jose, CA. The Community Launch Event and Mobile Lab Training took place at the Country Hills Community Room inside the Property.

 

The OE Broadband Technology Van was in hand to offer Digital Literacy Training to Mid Pen Housing Country Hillls Residents out of the BTOP Grant.

 

One Economy trained 37 residents and provided approximately 90 trainings, the trainings were very receptive by the Country Hills residents. Some of the Mobile Lab trainings covered, MS Office, Internet Safety, email and job search, computer basics, typing, and how to connect to the "We Are Now Connected" Free Wireless Network installed by One Economy Corp.

 

All training residents also received Norton Antivirus donated software from Symantec.

As Official food, beverage and hospitality partner to Circuit of The Americas, Sodexo was proud to have donated more than $239,000 to local community groups by partnering with several nonprofit organizations surrounding the Formula 1 Grand Prix, as well as the University of Texas/Oklahoma State football game.
