The healthy village project places a lot of emphasis on community participation, both in recognising the risks of poor sanitation and in building the solutions. People were breaking stones into gravel to be used in concrete latrine slabs.

A build your own sundae station was one of the activities at a fun and informative event for University of Michigan faculty and staff to celebrate the beginning of a new residential academic year. The re-entry event was held on the Eda U. Gerstacker Grove at North Campus in Ann Arbor, MI on Tuesday July 13, 2021.
The event allows each participant to reconnect with colleagues, visit information booths, compete in numerous games and activities and complete items on the STARR Return to Campus Checklist.

A beautiful sunny afternoon at Clitterhouse Farm, where locals gather on weekends. This time, a Scottish band played dance music, and everyone participated, holding hands and moving together, reflecting a shared purpose and collective action. The people in the photo are engaged and focused on the activity. The mix of children and adults taking part together shows a shared intention to create bonds and foster a sense of community across generations

This community Hall is in front of St. John in the wilderness church. It was built in 1904 and restored in 1975.

Job title/where do you work: Administrative Assistant at Cody Child Development Center.
Military service or other unit name: I am civilian. My husband is active duty U.S. Army.
What’s the most rewarding part of your current position and why?
I get to welcome all the children and parents to the Cody CDC and learn all about them.
What’s your:

Favorite sports team: I don’t watch much, but the Dallas Cowboys.

Favorite band/music artist: I don’t have a favorite, but I listen to everything from techno/dance to country.

Favorite place you’ve ever traveled to or been stationed: San Antonio, Texas - Sea World.
What do you like most about working on/visiting JBM-HH? There is so much history here.
What do you like most about living in the National Capital Region? There is so much to do around here, and so much history to see; it’s amazing.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough - give your best anyway.
If you won the lottery, what would you do? Spoil my kids and Husband, go shopping and travel.
What are your goals for the year? To visit the museums and historical sites before we have to move again.
What advice do you have for someone getting stationed at JBM-HH? Be patient with the traffic. There is lots of history on JBM-HH and the surrounding area. Try to learn about the area you are in.
