Normally Mr.Whale is a very nice and peaceful fellow. But as a matter of fact he hates whaling in Japan! So he joined the eco-whale-community and starts to attack the city of Tokyo to make a natural and political statement with his watergun! NO WHALING! He hopes that the government of Japan will cooperate otherwise he has to use his inhuman bodyslam to destroy Tokyo and Japan.
But I,as a close friend of Mr.Whale, don't think that he will do that, because he really loves Japan and its tradition. But pay attention!
I am sure Greenpeace is happy about such fellows!

Salazar 09 judging.
The judging of the 2009 GDC/BC Salazar Student Awards took place at Kwantlen Polytechnic University on Friday, May 1, and I was able to get a few shots of the judges in action.
The winners will be announced on May 8 at the Salazar Awards Presentation, featuring a keynote address by Michael Osborne, President and Creative Director of the San Francisco-based graphic design firm MODSF.
this particular display is hand painted. hard to know if the nike featured merchandise is what the people in beaverton would call nike or not. but it is fascinating new territory for brands to exist in; the place between make believe and making sure.

Must have issue for students looking for help with portfolio advice.
Notes on issue / Editor - Nick Carson:
Having talent isn’t enough: in a competitive marketplace, you need to sell yourself hard. Whether it takes the form of a beautiful black book, an eye-catching website or a sexy showreel, building a stunning portfolio is ultimately about doing justice to your work (and yourself) in a very short space of time.
We’ve covered all the media you need in this must-have issue, from an enlightening look inside some best-practice folios to an in-depth masterclass for building the perfect digital showcase – not to mention 60 essential dos and don’ts to avoid the classic pitfalls of self-promotion, and a rather useful snapshot of the best online creative communities to get your work seen by the right people.
We show you how to use Flash and Flickr to create a website that updates itself, and with Apple’s non-Flash-compatible touchscreen gizmos lining the pockets of creatives everywhere, there’s how to present your work on an iPhone or iPad too – so you can nail that impromptu pitch wherever you are.
Next issue we explore one of our most enduringly popular topics, with an issue packed from cover to cover with typographical techniques and inspiration. Whether you design using type, create typefaces or just love illustrating letterforms, it’s for you. For now, enjoy the issue – and good luck with that portfolio.
Now you see Sweety! She's a real sweet and nice Monsterlady. She's the first secretary of the Mischklang. She's always happy and always polite. If you tickle her she smiles even more (seems impossible, because she's a hard-smiler, but she really does). Her friend Buhh has two faces one happy and one sad. They are besfriends and they are always checking out the boys because they both believe in love at first sight!
And did I mention that they both love candies?!!!
In term 1 2D Graphics 1, students gain a mastery of Photoshop techniques. For this assignment, the students learned about compositing and applied it to the given, Halloween-appropriate theme.

The mainreason I was doing a solo show, was this wall, I was asked to be painting. It's like 4m x 10m huge! Believe me I was totally shocked, amazed and excited when my art-teacher asked me to do it! What more can you get? Being allowed to paint the entrance hall of the gallery/school legally! THIS IS SIMPLY AMAZING!
It took 7 days à 10 hours to get it done, but it ain't like work, it was like birthday, christmas and 10000000 Euro jackpot in one! Thanks to everyone who made it to the show! It was like the best day of my life! HAY!
The intentions of the painting are not very profound! It's painting for painting's saked. Just for the amusement of everyone (or the not-amusement for a few!) It's getting MonsterBusiness into Stuttgart, to introduce the people to this new kind of design/art-direction! Like on a party where people meet people (or monsters) I hope I did a good job! Monsters for live! No more words to say!
