This is a broad topic, and subjects could be as diverse as television, books, a Morse code key, fiber-optic transmission cables or any other means we use to communicate thoughts and ideas. That said, there are a couple of additional requirements for your end-of-month collage:
1) one or more colour images
2) one or more black-and-white images
3) one or more close-up/macro images
4) one or more high-contrast images (dark blacks, bright whites)
5) one or more shots post-processed in a "vintage" style
Please note that some images may fill more than one category, e.g., you could have a vintage high-contrast black-and-white close-up. I'm sure you can have fun with that!

I got inspired to build something Ice Planet themed when I received this Bionicle mask from @306bionicle_mocs. I played around with a few ideas but ultimately settled on doing something in trophy fig scale after a suggestion from another LUG member. So I came up with this trophy fig scale mobile command center. I'm really happy with it, I haven't built in microscale in a very long time so it was a fun challenge getting little details how I wanted them.

today i had a lunch with my six previous classmetes of English class plus two babies. the two children can chat in toddler words that we cannot catch up.
She played her whistle, and (perhaps coincidentally) a moose appeared on the other side of Rock Creek. The moose stood still and appeared to listen (wiggled her ears, even), but who can know if she was really paying attention. Then, at a point in time that was more or less concurrent with when the music finished, the noble beast trotted up the hill and out of sight.
Origins (1924–1931): Birth of Tajik Communications
The building’s story begins with the creation of Tajikistan’s first organised postal service in 1924, when Dushanbe opened its first communications office.
By 1931, the republic had a communications vocational school and a rapidly expanding postal network — but no central headquarters.
The Soviet government decided to build a major communications palace for the new Tajik SSR capital.
2. Construction (1932–1935): A Soviet Constructivist Landmark
The building in your photo was constructed between 1932 and 1935.
Architect
Sergey Kutin, a Soviet architect specialising in early modernist and constructivist forms.
Style
Soviet Constructivism, one of the last major examples in Central Asia before Stalinist monumental classicism replaced avant‑garde architecture.
Clean geometric lines, curved façade, large windows, and a functional layout.
Original Features
A glass roof over the main operations hall to reduce electricity use.
A planned Postal Workers’ Club (never built due to budget cuts).
A large, climate‑adapted interior hall for sorting mail and handling telegraph traffic.

3. Technological Centre of Tajikistan (1935–1940)
Once opened, the Dom Svazi became the technological heart of Tajikistan:
1935: Devices installed allowing calls to any radiotelephone‑connected point.
1936: First direct telephone connection with Moscow — a major milestone.
1940: Direct radiotelephone links with Leningrad, Kiev, Minsk, Tashkent, Khorog, and others.
It was the most advanced communications building in the republic.
4. Mid‑Century Changes (1938–1963)
The building in your photo originally looked different:
1938
A tall clock tower with a flagpole was added above the curved entrance.
1963
The clock tower was removed.
A third floor was added, changing the silhouette.
A separate building was built for the 10,000‑subscriber automatic telephone station.
Your photo shows the post‑1963 version, without the tower and with the third floor.
5. Post‑Soviet Era (1991–2000s)
After independence:
Postal activity declined sharply.
Tajikistan joined the Universal Postal Union in 1994.
The Dom Svazi remained the symbolic headquarters of national communications.
Many Soviet buildings around it were demolished during Dushanbe’s redevelopment, but the Dom Svazi survived due to its heritage value.
6. Present Day
The building still stands on Rudaki Avenue, functioning as:
A major postal centre
A historic landmark
A surviving example of early Soviet architecture in Tajikistan
