We went down the stairs, blithely thinking we were going to get a ride home. We did not, and eventually had to climb them all back again.

We finally reached our main accommodation for 4 nights - Hilton-Embassy Suites, Milpitas, CA (Silicon Valley), August 11-15, 2015.

Due to commitments back home (Vancouver, BC, Canada), our first 3 days in Milpitas are more attending to non-leisure/vacation activities.

However, we managed to fit in a few shopping at a nearby mall, kids visited a mini-golf, and had dinner at the Cheese Factory, while in Milpitas for the 1st 3 days.

During the 4th day, August 14th, we finally decided to tour the rest of Silicon Valley, headed to San Francisco and back to Milpitas.

While in San Francisco, we stopped a few places like, Pier 39, Painted Houses (Colored houses), and of course the Golden Gate.

At Pier 39, where we spent a lot of time there. Thus, pictures taken at this area and Golden Gate are too much to upload at once, more pictures to follow.

Local Real Estate Philanthropist Howard Rudzki Donates Toys to Orthopaedic Hospital

Furthering his commitment to making a difference in the lives of children in Los Angeles , local real estate philanthropist, Howard Rudzki, has donated 10 cases of plush toys and 10 video game systems to Orthopaedic Hospital this holiday season.

The donation will be used to bring some of the comforts of home to young patients staying at the hospital during the holiday season. The plush toys and game systems were graciously received by the coordinators at the hospital, and will be handed out to age-appropriate children according to the hospital’s policies.

“Birthdays and Christmas are two times that are special in the lives of a child,” Rudzki said. “I think it is important to bring smiles to children’s faces, especially when they are battling illness or other challenges and I am hoping that this donation will make the stay of these children a little brighter during the holiday season.”

Eloise Helwig, a spokesperson for the hospital said that the toys and consoles are a welcome gift at Orthopaedic Hospital. “This donation is more than just about giving toys and game consoles. It is the extra, added comfort that these young patients will receive while they are here in the hospital. We are so appreciative to Mr. Rudzki and all of generous donors who regularly support us.”

Located in downtown Los Angeles, Orthopaedic Hospital provides care for patients with musculoskeletal disorders regardless of the family’s ability to pay. For more than a century the hospital has been committed to helping children lead healthy, active lives.

Reinforcing its commitment to engaging the public and providing global access to MoMA and its collections, The Museum of Modern Art launched a completely redesigned website at MoMA.org in March 2009. The new site integrates dynamic features that offer visitors a more personal online experience, enhanced navigation, and access to MoMA’s collection, exhibitions, and resources through a highly visual and fluid new interface. Highlights of the new site include the integration of MoMA’s online communities on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, iTunes U, and Flickr, and the ability to set up personal online accounts that provide tools to customize, share and save groupings of favorite works or any content throughout the site, including events, films, and exhibitions. A new multimedia section showcases MoMA’s audio and videos, and INSIDE/OUT: A MoMA/P.S.1 Blog offers insider views on exhibitions, artists, and special projects that can be viewed on the site, shared, and discussed. The design of the new site brings visitors’ experiences directly in by featuring photos taken by the public and uploaded to the Museum’s Flickr group. And for those who want to learn more about MoMA’s unparalleled collection of modern and contemporary art, the Museum’s online collection area has been completely revised.
