Installation Management Command’s Pacific Region Command Sergeant Major, Command Sgt. Maj. Phillip D. Pandy visited numerous facilities and met with directors, employees and customers from CRC to the DMZ June 11. Pandy was escorted by U.S. Army Garrison Red Cloud and Area I Command Sergeant Major, Command Sgt. Maj. Michael L. Hatfield.

NEWPORT, R.I. – International students assigned to the U.S. Naval War College (NWC) are greeted by NWC President Rear Adm. Pete Garvin during a welcome ceremony August 14, 2023. Students from the Naval Command College and Naval Staff College along with their families and sponsors, were welcomed by NWC faculty and staff as they begin their 11-month residential programs in Newport. The programs are designed to build trust, confidence, and cooperation between American and international officers while building enduring friendships and partnerships amongst students and their families. Established in 1884, NWC informs today’s decision-makers and educates tomorrow’s leaders by providing educational experiences and learning opportunities that develop their ability to anticipate and prepare strategically for the future, strengthen the foundations of peace, and create a decisive warfighting advantage. The 416th Theater Engineer Command (TEC) hosted a Fallen Heroes Memorial Wall ceremony at their headquarters in Darien, Ill., May 2, to honor 46 Army Reserve Soldiers who belonged to either the 416th or 412th TEC and lost their lives while serving overseas. The ceremony was a combined effort of the two theater engineer commands and the Engineer Command Association, which funded the costs associated with the ceremony and helped organize the event. Lt. Col. Perry E. Jones assumed command of the Sandston-based 2nd Battalion, 224th Aviation Regiment, 91st Troop Command, from Lt. Col. Neal J. Edmonds in a traditional change of command ceremony held June 10 at the Virginia National Guard Army Aviation Support Facility in Sandston. Col. Walt Mercer, commander of 91st Troop Command, presided over the exchange of unit colors between the outgoing and incoming commanders. Edmonds commanded the battalion for more than two years, including the battalion's deployment to Iraq as Task Force Punisher from April to December 2011. Under the command of Edmonds, the aviation battalion completed three separate self-deployments of 10 aircraft each to three different locations in Iraq, conducted more than 16,000 combat flight hours, flew more than 150 medical evacuation missions, and redeployed 42 aircraft and 520 Soldiers.
